The "problem of evil" is one that has vexed successive generations of humanity, including especially the brightest theologians, since the fall of our first parents, Adam and Eve.
Why does God allow evil to exist?
If God is all-powerful, surely he could eradicate evil with a proverbial snap of the fingers.
If God is perfectly good, just and righteous, how could he have allowed an imperfection such as evil to creep into His creation?
If God is the creator of everything, did he create evil?
Is there some grand purpose that evil indispensably serves in fulfilling God's grand scheme that eludes our limited understanding?
