You know sometimes we see revenge as doing bad to someone who has done something bad to us. But the Lord says, "Vengence is mine, I will repay". That means it's not yours. There is, however, another subtle revenge. That is when someone doesn't agree with us. A family member or dear friend. They have hurt you because they don't believe you when you are making a decision God led you to. In your heart you say, "That's O.K. One day she'll see that I was right. One day the Holy Spirit will get through to her and she'll see this was Him." We hope that on that day, she or he will regret that they dared to doubt you. That day you hope they'll be sorry.

That is a form of revenge we don't often think about. We can carry this hope of revenge for decades, looking forward to that day when we are vindicated and this loved one says, "You were right all along." But heavenly family members, you have to let that go. First, you might be waiting for something that may never happen...time wasted. Second, you're taking God's vengence and counting on it being yours. Let it go. And I'm preaching to myself, too, right now. Let it go. Nevermind if they one day see. If you feel persecuted because they don't see what you see, if they are turning away from you, don't want to talk as much...rejoice, see yourself as blessed because you are being persecuted for Christ sake. (Matthew 5:11-12 "Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.")

God's vengence isn't like ours. He does all things for good. So when He reveals things to them, it will be to bring them up, lift them, teach, make them better. You, on the other hand will do vengence just to satisfy yourself. Let Go, Loved ones, Let Go!
