God desires that all believers express their faith in Him. The Bible
tells us that "without faith it is impossible to please God" (Heb. 11:6
Niv) Sometimes, God allows us to face difficulties and trying
circumstances to challenge our faith. Mark 7:24-30 clearly shows that
Jesus rewards persistent and tenacious faith. The events described in
the passage occurred within a brief span of time. Often, however, the
challenges we face occur over a longer period of time. Some of life's
difficulties last for years and years. The challenge is to maintain
faith over long periods time. Remember that delay does not mean denial.
Perhaps your present hardship has been lengthy because God is
challenging your faith. Persistence pays off-so no matter how long you
have faced difficulty, hang in there and know your faith will be
rewarded by God
