Life Is Short

My kids were really sad tonight. We came home from bowling to find our gerbil for 5yrs, Tip Toe had passed away. Tip Toe was tiney and fragil. He had cancer, and had been sick awhile. I tried to get him surgery, but it would've cost 400.00 for it. And we couldnt be sure if he would even make it after. He had a long good life. But it made me relize not to take a loved one for granted. You never know how long they will be in our lives......

My brother and sister and I at one time had 12 hamsters...her hamster, Sherman was last of the twelve to survive...even supposedly getting out behind the piano with d-con for mice behind it. We all thought the hamster ate, but it must not have because it survived, at least until it finally did die a few months later.
