John 4:23 & 24 reads, "
But an hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truthfulness, for the Father also seeks such to worship Him. 24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness." A very small amount of Christians, around 1%, worship Christ in spirit and truthfulness. There are physical and psychological attractions, relations, relationships and connections, in this world that Christians relate toward the worship of the Father. For example; A family moves into a new neighborhood, and needs to find a church to worship the Lord. They drive around the neighborhood and look for a building with a cross on it's steeple, or on the building, or a marquee. This is not true or false. It is a reality. Christians are consumed by these earthly relationships, attractions and connections, that they have associated and related to the worship of Christ. How many Christians, identify a picture, of a man with a beard, wearing a white robe, as that of Jesus? This type of behavior, negates and subtracts from the believers' worship,
in spirit and truthfulness. It is idolatry. The bible reads, that Romans 1:18-32, is "
On Mankind Generally". In this chapter, Paul's presentation of God's creation and man's step-by-step fall is based on historical facts as recorded in Genesis 1-9, and in subsequent books of the OT. Romans 21-25, "
Because though they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God or thank Him, rather became vain in their reasoning's, and their heart, lacking understanding, was darkened. 22
Professing to be wise, they became fools. 23
And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into the likeness of an image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and reptiles. 24
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, so that they dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25
Who exchange the truth of God for the lie, and worshipped and served the creation rather the Creator, who is blessed forever, Amen." How many Christians celebrate Easter? I believe we do love the same God. But, not in the same way. Ask yourself; Could this be the reason we have different doctrines, or truths? Is it, that to those believers who can not or will not worship the Spirit,
in spirit and truthfulness, that the truth is
veiled? "
But whenever their heart turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away." 2 Corinthians 3:16. Spirit cannot be seen, it cannot be physically handled. When man is broken down to his bare, naked essentials, no matter what he is made to say out of his mouth, or, what the man is made to do, his spirit shall remain. Do you know the story of Galileo? He discovered that the earth was not the center of the universe. He discovered that it was the sun, that was the center of the universe. And, when he shared his observation, the Queen charged him with heresies. The Queen ordered that he be beheaded, if he did not stop his heresies. He was brought before her, and forced to admit that his theories were false, or he would be put to death, right then and there. But, as he admitted to the Queen that his theories were false, on his knees before the Queen, and the court, he hit the ground with his fist and said in another foreign language, "Yet, it moves!" No one, the Queen, or anyone in the court understood the language, and his life was spared. Galileo's observation was not excepted for another hundred years. So, he died never knowing that anyone would believe, know, and accept his workings and findings. This, to me, is a natural man's desire to honor his beliefs in spirit, and the fact that he carried his convictions to the grave; truthfulness. The cross that my Jesus died upon, has long since been decayed. If there is an item in our midst, that can be used, and perceived as mockery to God, or our belief, as Christians, then we are not worshipping
in spirit and truthfulness. And, I ask, have we truly ever worshipped
in spirit and truthfulness? The displaying of a cross, the wearing of a cross, is idolatry. What happens when one is turned upside-down? How did it, and could it receive the power to mock God? We gave it that power. How did we give it that power? By taking it away from God. Do Christians have the power to rid their worship of all affinities, including the cross? That would be a very tall order." John 4:23 & 24 reads,
But an hour is coming, and it is now, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truthfulness, for the Father also seeks such to worship Him. 24
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truthfulness." We must.
