“The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Psalms 18:2

Today I had to write in my blog of Gods’ remarkable love and protection He has for His children. I have been asked “how do you know that Gods with you” or” that God is listening”. I can say without a doubt, that God take care of His own.

He has sheltered me through many storms in my life and continues to do so. Even though, I have periods of faltering, He continues to let me know that he loves me and wants what’s best for me.

Recently, I’ve had to deal with finding out my only son had cancer. (I said HAD!) He had 3 surgeries before our answer was received. Dr’s were saying that one or more ribs had to be removed along with a large portion of skin on his back, and that cancer may have spread. All my family and bro's and sis's at LIBAW agreed in prayer that Corey would be healed.

Today they took out the drainage tube and his results came back negative for any more cancer. They didn’t have to remove not one rib, he didn’t need a skin graft because they didn’t take too muck skin away. God has been yet gracious to me and my family for he knew how much I could handle even though I kept a still upper lip.

Also Yesterday as I was coming home from a dentist appointment, the rain started coming down hard. There was no severe alert for the day nor tornado alerts, but as I was coming home, the wind started blowing hard and the road began to flood.
I was driving by myself with no where to go for shelter. Tree limbs breaking off in my path, I said a small prayer of protection for God to let me make it home.

Well, I made it home without incident but my husband met me at the truck to help me in the house. I later found out a tornado was somewhere in the area because my husband watched pieces of metal and wood fall out the sky and fall on our roof and front porch.

This morning in the newspaper, I saw a home destroyed 1/4 mile from our home and I was driving in it unaware. The tornado went in front of our house, around it and kept going. Fortunately no one was home in the other house that was destroyed. Praise God! God is so Good!!!

Now ask me how, I know that God watches over His children!

“For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease. He will cover you with his feathers. He will shelter you with his wings. His faithful promises are your armor and protection. Do not be afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies in the day. Do not dread the disease that stalks in darkness, nor the disaster that strikes at midday. Though a thousand fall at your side, though ten thousand are dying around you, these evils will not touch you.” Psalms 91:3-7

Thank you for sharing your wonderful news with us! Sometimes the Lord amazes me with His mercy. And the tornado miracle reminds me of the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego :).
