God's Trumpet

I Thessalonians 4:16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven
with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:
and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air:
and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (KJV)
There's coming a day when God's trumpet will sound.
The saints long departed will rise from the ground.
Then we who remain are caught up to the skies.
Then we'll see our Savior with our very own eyes.
This is the saints blessed hope in these days.
This is the reason we worship and praise.
He is coming again to claim all His own.
To take us to heaven to our glorified home.
He promised in His Word that He'd come again.
To rapture everyone blood washed from their sin.
By His death on the cross and raised from the grave.
He has power to cleanse that all might be saved.
By grace He will save you if you will but call.*
His promise is sure and effective for all.
Will you too now trust Him and call on His name?
When God's last trumpet sounds, you too He will claim.
* Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon His name
shall be saved.” (KJV)
