Faith Like A Child

We as Christians are instructed to have faith like a child. What does this mean? I say that because children believe everything that they consume without hesitation. Children. What a wonderful blessing they are. They are so valuable in our lives. It's not only because they are our own flesh and blood, it's not only because they are our future, Christ saw them as important people. They are pure and innocent.
Matthew 19:13-15 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence. Mark 9:36-37 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

I have four young children. My oldest of the four is eight years old. He loves the Lord and tries his best to keep God's commandments. Anyway, yesterday, I had a very bad toothache. it hurt so bad that I was not eating dinner. My son came to me before he went to bed and ask that I go into his room. He wanted to do something for me. I had no idea what it was. He put his hands on me and said a prayer and asked God to take away my toothache. One minute later, my pain was gone. Has not returned yet. Tonight, I had a headache and he laid his hands on me and prayed for it to leave. Once again, my headache immediately left. These are just a couple of my son's testimony to share with people. My favorite one is the one about the oscar fish. It died. My son prayed for him and when we returned home from church that afternoon, the fish was swimming around the aquarium.

A child, having so much faith in what he believes to be the outcome. We can learn from children so that we can have a closer walk with the Lord.
