It's been a while since I've visited and wrote in here. It was a long winter, in fact. I had suffered excruciating abdominal pains last October and visited the doctor. He sent me to the hospital for some scans and discovered I had gallstones, which then explained the cause and reason for a number of my digestion and abdominal problems.
I had what was to be outpaitent surgery Jan 5th. I woke in the ICU some hours later, and learned they had to open me up instead of removing the gall bladder through a small "keyhole". It had a lot of scar tissue and adhesions, and was actually not functioning very well, except to pass a small grain of stone from time to time along with bile. The post surgery pain was incredible, as I never had surgery in my 45 years of life. Thanks to prayers, I was out of the ICU the next morning and home 3 days after the surgery.
I'm now doing a lot better and trying to follow a diet plan to reduce my cholesterol, which was what those gallstones were made up of. If my lipid profile doesn't show a significant reduction of cholesterol by June, I will have to go on medication, in addition to my HPB meds.
I know I'm now middle aged, and not a spring chicken anymore, as my wife reminds me, but I still think I'm a young man! Thanks for praying for me everyone.
