Blessed To Be Envied!

Greetings Believers,

Grace be unto you, and peace be multiplied to you through the revealed knowledge of God and Jesus The Blessing and Lord!

Envy is a very dangerous work of the flesh. It is not to be confused with jealousy. Jealousy says "I want what you have." Envy says, "I hate the fact that you have that and I will make sure you don't enjoy it." Envy wants to punish you for being blessed. Envy wants to see you suffer for losing the blessing you have. Envy can even lead to murder. The reason people envy you is because they see "The Blessing" on your life. Even the word 'blessed' is defined as Happy, Fortunate, to be Envied.!" Have a look at the first example the Word gives where envy shows up.

"And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell." Gen 4:3-5 (KJV)

In the discussion that The Lord had with Cain he was asked why his  countenance had fallen? The Lord goes on to say if you had done well, wouldn't you be accepted? The Lord told Cain before he slew his brother how to be accepted but envy could only see that the blessing on his brother therefore distorting his thinking. Abel brought the first-fruits of his flock while Cain simply brought fruit from his abundance. Here lies a lesson for us as believers that if we are willing and obedient we will be not only blessed but we will be a blessing to others!

"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him." Gen 26:12-14 (KJV)

In the passage above we see Isaac being willing and obedient to the Word from the Lord and planting seeds where a double famine was going on. Notice that there was no envying going on until he waxed great, went forward and became very great. Why? Because he had possessions in great numbers. Isaac had the water in famine times and the food. The blessing of the Lord was all over Isaac and his stuff. It doesn't matter how big the family and your household is. When you expect the blessing to be with you it will be sufficient to the extent of your need! Phil: 4:19

The Philistines envied Isaac so much that they tried to stop up his water wells which he dug from the days of his father. Envy wanted to stop the blessing and envy wants to stop yours as well. You will find later that they understood from where his blessing came.

"And Isaac said unto them, Wherefore come ye to me, seeing ye hate me, and have sent me away from you? And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee; That thou wilt do us no hurt, as we have not touched thee, and as we have done unto thee nothing but good, and have sent thee away in peace: thou art now the blessed of the LORD." Gen 26:27-29 (KJV)

Isaac was so blessed that now they wanted to cut covenant with him and called him the Blessed of the Lord. When you have the water and the food in the land where there is famine you are "The Man!" Oh, and very rich I might add. The conditions of his environment didn't stop the blessing as long as there was obedience to The Word of The Lord. A man of faith in God’s Word can never be stopped and can never be trapped because with God all things are possible to him that believeth. You know if God didn't intend on us trusting His Word He would have never told us to!

Paul warns us not to fall into the traps of the envious. If you study this following verse you will know what signs you need to look for where envy is concerned.

"If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself." 1 Tim 6:3-5 (KJV)

Paul says to withdraw yourself away from such foolishness and mayhem. As the Lord blesses you please do not allow envy to fester inside you and cause you to miss out on seeing the end of your faith because envy can make you sick and take you out of this life.

“A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.” Prov 14:30 (KJV)

Now you may be saying “What can I do to fight off this infectious disease called envy?” I am glad you asked. First you must determine to be blessed because it is God’s will. Second, allow the Holy Spirit to show you the scriptures to stand on to lay hold of the Blessing God has shed His blood for you to partake in! Third you must engage yourself with daily worship of the Lord who gives us liberally all things to enjoy. The worship of the Lord is your defense against envy! Exercise your right to Be Blessed today, and let the Lord increase you more and more and your children after you!

“Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long.  For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off." Prov 23:17-18 (KJV)

I Trust that this Word of Faith message has been a blessing to you and like all good things pass it forward to increase your 'Harvest of Hope!'
