Rescue workers found a man dead inside the wreckage of his car which crashed into a tree Monday. Calhoun County Sheriff Department deputies reported the accident at 12:24 p.m. on Bellevue Road just north of Gorsline Road. Investigators said the white Lincoln was southbound at a high speed when it left the west side of the roadway and crashed into a tree. The driver, and only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not available from deputies Monday night.
This accident took the life of our Clarinet players eldest son yesterday. Kevin was 23, with a baby on the way and had a very rough and rocky road the past few years. This past Sunday, he went to our Church with his mother and friends and at the end of the service, re-dedicated his life to God. Even though we mourn for their loss of a loved one, we are also rejoicing in knowing that he gave his life to God and that he is now with our Father. A shared concern many go through during these times in our lives.
Please pray for the family and friends for strength, peace, rest and wisdom during this time. Kevin's mother Tami is a very strong person. She not only is a member of our group, but is a Pastor, mentor and the Director of an organization that feeds the hungry here in our hometown every other Friday evening.
