"A December to Remember"

Today was the third part of a series that our pastor has beencovering called a December to Remember. Three weeks ago we were able to look at the birth of the Lord and some of the aspects surrounding it with the key point being that when the wise men arrived to see baby Jesus,they first worshiped himthen gave gifts. We see this as being important for us today as well we must remember that it is by the grace of God that we are even here now and so we must always put Him first in everything that we do. Two weeks ago we discussed the fear that surrounds the Christmas story, from Marys fear, all the way the the fear of a king. And then today we discussed someof the family history of Christ. Isnt it funny how every year there is always someone there for Christmas that you would rather wasn't for one reason or another, well the point that was made in todays service is just how interesting the family history of Christ really is from a man who slept with his daughter-in-law who posed as a prostitue to carry on the family name to an actual prostitute tomany others. The benifit of this message is although we allcome from different backgrounds, Christ accepts us all.
