- My story begins at 4 years old when my mother passed away from a brain aneurism. Leaving behind my 3 sisters and I with my dad A childhood full of broken promises & a drunk 4 a father but still I had hope 1 day my father would love me enough to put me first. I was 14 when he abandoned me for good. I was raped later that year @ the age of fourteen. That’s how I lost my virginity. I never really dealt with him leaving or the rape outwardly but now that I look back I guess a war started on the inside...(the rest is in my blog)

Resting in his arms today

I am resting in Abba's arms this morning..and it feels so good to know when I am weak, struggling and unsure I can go to him. I am so blessed to have a father to love and who will never stop loving me back. He is there when memories of my past threaten to invade and cause insecurities. Today is day #1 of my fast...looking forward to starting off the New Year in a fresh way. This is all very new to me and Im excited to see what God reveals to me during my time of fasting.

My story begins at 4 years old when my mother passed away from a brain aneurism. Leaving behind my 3 sisters and I with my father. Ages 18,16 and 4 I was the baby. My older sister pretty much took on the mom roll because my dad was pretty much absent in my life from 5 to 14. I remember all the broken promises to come get me. He did come get me a few times but I remember most of the time sitting on the porch for hours…

Truth is under heavy attack, and there are too few courageous warriors who are willing to fight. When we stand before the judgment seat of Christ, believers from this generation will not be able to justify their apathy by complaining that the strife of conflict over truth just seemed “too negative” for the kind of generation we lived in - or that the issues were “merely doctrinal” and therefore not worth the effort.
Remember, Christ rebuked the churches in Revelation 2-3 who had tolerated false teachers in their midst (2:14-16; 20-23). He expressly commended the Ephesian church for examining the claims of certain false apostles and exposing them as liars (2:2). Churches have a clear duty to guard the faith against false teachers who infiltrate. Christ Himself demands it.
