I would like to thank all the saints that prayed for me. I had my surgery on May 1, 2009 and left with a catheter for a month. I've had a couple follow ups and the good news is as of today my surgery was a success. The bad news is I still have a stricture and we opted not to fix it for personal reasons because of where it's located. So, I'll be seeing a urologist for the rest of my life to keep an eye on it. Jesus is in control so I'm not worried about anything. All my systems seem to be in…See More
I was roughly five years old when a man knocked on our door. Like every toddler I had to beat my mama to the door. The man invited my mother to Church and she declined. He invited me to Sunday school and my mother declined. I asked my mom what Sunday school was and she told me and asked me if I wanted to go. Naturally, it sounded cool to my five year old ears so I said yes.
For twelve years, I went to Victory Baptist Church for Sunday school and Church in Louisville, Ky. When I was 12 years old I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. As a show of my public acceptance of Jesus, I was baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit at 13 years of age. I didn't know anything but Jesus for most of my life until I entered the military at age 17.
Like the prodigal son, I entered the world. It was here that I became an empty Christian that was not effective spiritually. I was a product of the world. For 20 years I embraced my sin nature and only called on my Savior when it suited me. In 2004, I returned to the Light like the prodigal son returning to his Father. My Heavenly Father came running to me with His arms open. I recommitted to Jesus Christ and have matured in Christ more in the last four years than the first 36 years of my life. I now find myself preaching in a local church and ministering to men. My testimony is I have always known Jesus, but now I follow him as an effective Christian.
What would you say is your Spiritual gift?
Preaching, Teaching, and Healing. Not me of course, but Spirit working through me.

Ok, I already know Jesus is in control and is with me. However, I call on all the saints to keep me in prayer. I'm having surgery Friday, May 1, 2009 for a urethra stricture. The surgery is called a buccal mucosa urethroplasty and you can find out more about it by way of Google if you don't know what it is. I've already had this surgery but it failed and now I have two strictures at each end of the graph due to scar tissue. That is probably more info than you needed, but now you know what I… Continue
