A Meditation On Evolution And Its Implications

Evolution just seems to have some really huge problems. No actual evidence in the fossil record, no explanation for the origin of information, no hypothesis for how interdependant complimentary systems arise spontaneously that cannot function without every part in place (blood clotting is one example). Even Darwin Himself said, "To suppose that the eye, with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the…See More

About Me
"Spreading a passion for the supremacy of God for the joy of all people through Jesus Christ." ~ John Piper. This is something that I have found to be very profound and transforming in my life, and has in many ways shaped the way that I read and teach the Bible.

I think that what most people notice about me is a firm passionate focus on the supremacy of Jesus Christ and the centrality of the gospel in the scriptures. I believe that a Bible saturated life that is utterly centered on Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit is the only kind of life that will have victory over sin, and experience the joy and peace that will produce such a fruit producing suffering enduring Christian experience that it will have the radically salty and bright flavor that Christianity should have if indeed we are a truly regenerate spiritually vibrant people.

I believe in the absolute authoritative, infallible, inerrant, sufficient, inspired, determinative, effective, and complete nature and character of the Bible. I believe that the person of Christ and the supremacy of the scriptures are the foundation of the church and the life of every true believer and follower of Jesus Christ.

I am married to a beautiful woman of God, and am the father of an amazing 7 moth old baby girl. These are the love of my life second only to the Lord Jesus Christ, and I would like to think that I would do absolutely anything for them both.

We live in Kingman Arizona, and because of transportation and location issues we currently hold church services in our living room every Sunday morning, where we sing, pray, and listen to a sermon online.
My Testimony
As far as I was concerned God didn't exist, and He was only a figment of your imagination. Also I couldn't stand religion in general, especially Christianity. I had grown up in church for about twelve years every Sunday, and was really opposed to the whole idea. I mean, going to church saying prayers (to a non-existent God), and reading the Bible was probably the farthest thing from what I wanted to do.

I began to think about life and death. I realized that I am going to die. I had never really thought about it before (of course I knew that I was going to, but it never really dawned on me the reality of it all), but all of the sudden I just realized that I am going to die! I didn't know why at the time, but I started to view myself as the problem. I could sit there and blame my problems on everyone else until I was blue in the face, but it wasn't going to make a difference. It was me, I had to realize that my problem was that I was a bad person. That may seem like a strong thing to face, and it was. What made me realize this was my conscience.

At this time one of the guys at work noticed that I was a bit on the edge. He said, "Check out this book. It has a lot of questions and answers in it that might interest you." I didn't know what book it was, but I took it home and set it on my dresser. After a few days I went in my room and sat on my bed, with no friends or any other reason that I could think of to legitimize my own existence. I picked up that book. It was a bible.

I remembered Jesus. I remembered the Bible says that He died the most painful death known to man. It says that He was marred (to disfigure, deface, or scar) more then any man. He was bruised for our iniquities. He died for you so you wouldn’t have to take the punishment (death/destruction) for the law (the Ten Commandments) that you broke. It is as simple as this. We broke the law, and Jesus has paid the fine on our behalf. Then He rose from the dead, defeating death. I remembered that The Bible tells us that if we turn away from sin once and for all (repent) and put our faith in Jesus that we will be saved. God doesn't just want us to go to church or say a prayer; He wants our whole heart and our whole life.

I thought, "You know what? This makes sense. I need something, and I think that Jesus is what I need. I can't live like this any more, and there is only two options. Suicide, or Jesus. Since death was what I was trying to get away from I chose Jesus.

What would you say is your Spiritual gift?
Preaching and Teaching the Bible.
Paul Washer is the founder and president of HeartCry Missionary Society. This man and I share a tremendous calling from God to confront the apostate church in America, and call men and women back to Biblical historical Christianity.
John Macarthur is the president of the 'Master's College and Seminary', pastor of 'Grace Community Church', and feature teacher on 'Grace To You'. Dr. Macarthur and I share a passion and love for the truth of God's word, and the correct understanding of it. Our focus is the Gospel as preached by Jesus Himself, and the biblical definition of what salvation is and how a person is to partake in the gift of eternal life God offers in Christ.
"The Way of The Master" is a ministry that endeavors to bring the church back to the proclamation of the biblical Gospel, and promotes and encourages Christians to unrelentingly share the Gospel with every person possible; to make evangelism a lifestyle not a chore or a duty.

I THINK THAT YOU ARE BEING WAY TO HARD ON YOURSELF...A LOT OF US THINK THE SAME THINGS THAT YOU DO BUT JUST WON'T ASK THE QUESTIONS...THE REASON BEING IS THAT SOME QUESTIONS ARE JUST TO CONTROVERSIAL FOR SOME ESPECIALLY BABES IN CHRIST AND SOMETIMES...IT IS BECAUSE OF HOW PEOPLE INTERPRET WHAT WE SAY...I AM SURE YOU MEAN NO HARM...I DON'T BELIEVE ANY OF US WILL ASK A QUESTION IN WHICH WE FELT WOULD START CONFUSION...THE ONLY PERSON I KNOW WHO WOULD NOT BE OFFENDED AT THE QUESTIONS THAT I MAY ASK IS JESUS...HAVE A BLESSED NIGHT MY BROTHER...
