Liz B. replied to Khaleelah's discussion 'How long should a woman wait after her divorce to date or marry another man?'
Wow. What a situation. I am guessing they did not go for any marital counseling before their divorce? Are they saying they are bible believing Christians that attend a Bible believing church? They should have had some counseling before it got to a…

Liz B. replied to Brandy J's discussion 'Passion/Lust in Godly Relationships'
Amen everyone! Let me start by saying that I have been married for almost 18 years and the passion fires burn just as greatly now as they did from the time we met and married. We were not Saved when we met so we did all backwards. I can tell you to…

About Me
I have been married for almost 18 years to a wonderful man and we have 4 children, 2 grandchildren, 2 dogs, and a rat. I am disabled with severe rheumatoid arthritis so that makes me a stay at home mom to the 2 teens we have left at home. I love Christ and He is number 1 in our life!

My health doesn't allow me to do much out of the house so a lot of my time is spent online. I rarely go out alone and that includes running any errands. I always have to have someone with me helping me and my husband usually has to drive me.

I love to write and hope to write professionally very soon. I am hoping to write Bible studies for Randall House publishing. I am getting my writings together to submit them and if you would like more info on how you can do the same please contact me!

I am a mentor to teen girls that are on their last chance in a group home called House of Love. Our Bible study group helps them out with doing minor repairs on their homes, mentoring the girls, and whatever else the Lord directs us to do with them and for them. I am also a volunteer for CareNet Milwaukee a Christ centered pregnancy center. I am very much pro-life and enjoy touching the hearts of pregnant women and teens that are thinking of aborting their children. I just let the Holy One guide me in talking with them and pray that I am a vessel of Him to these women. I am also going to be getting involved in volunteering in a hospice through our church that we go to. My husband and I will be volunteering together at Veterans Hospitals. My husband is a Navy Vet so Vets are near and dear to his heart.

We live in a small town just south of the largest city in Milwaukee. We love it here. Even the winters lol.

We are just small town folk that love God!
My Testimony
We had been Saved many years ago but the devil got us and we fell away from the church. I had become very ill with my arthritis (I have had it for about 16 years now) in Oct. of 2006 and have been in and out of the hospital with it. We have a wonderful family physician that is just amazing and a wonderful Christian man. My husband also became sick (he is healed and recovered now) in Oct. of 2008 and went through 2 surgeries. He is our only income and we were living on his disability through his work (75% of his pay) right at the Holiday season. It looked pretty bleak for us for Christmas for our girls. Until I was in the hospital once again in Dec. right before Christmas. Our dr. came in my room and pulled up a chair and sat down. There was nothing unusual with that. We were all friends by now since I had been so sick since '06. He did his talking about my condition and agreed that I was not going home that day and then whipped something out of his coat pocket and handed it to me. He then explained that every Holiday season him and his wife (who is just as wonderful as he is and a family practice dr. as well) help a family in need they choose us as that family. They gave us a $200 gift card to our local grocery and $200 cash. Our mouths dropped open. Before I could say anything other than thank you and begin crying he whooshed out of the room. I decided right then and there we were going back to church as soon as I was well enough again. There had been other happenings in our life that only could have been from the Lord. Our landlord understood completely what was going on and we could pay her off and catch up. We always had enough money to pay the necessary bills like the heat and electric and the phone. We always had plenty of food in the house for all of us we never went hungry. God sustained and provided for us and I began to accept this again and accept the Holy Spirit moving in me and through me again. I actually picked out our church online from their website. I took a good look at their website the night before we were going to go the first time and guess who is a member there and involved in the youth group? Yup. Our dr. and his wife. Our 14 year old is in the youth group range of age and wanted to go! Our 17 year old...well, we need to pray for her. We were just speechless. We went to the 1030am service the next day and lo and behold, there is our dr. and his family. Finally got to meet his wife and kids. His kids are adorable. So, our 14 year old is deeply involved now in the youth group, we are personal friends with our dr., and we are back to being believers and applying Christianity, Christ, and the Lord to every single aspect of our lives. Praise the Lord for how he brings people together when they are in need!!

What would you say is your Spiritual gift?
I have a couple. One is serving. Another is discernment. I also can read people pretty well. I have the knack of solving some serious problems including marriage issues. It is just really all about listening to the Holy One in you I guess.
