About Me

I am a married mom to four great little girls. My husband and I met in 1996 and married in 2000. Our girls are 8, 6, 4 and 20 months old. We're from Eastern Canada - living in a city called Halifax which is where I was born and raised. It's a beautiful place. I am a graduate of university religious studies and two college programs, one in ministry studies and another in biblical studies.

My Testimony

Though I was introduced to God and Jesus in a superficial manner as a small child, my salvation experience happened in 1990 when I was 13 years old. My family were arguing and I retreated to my bedroom to escape the screaming. I closed my door and sat against it, hung my head and found myself, in tears, crying out "Jesus please help me". It wasn't a conscious decision to say it but I found myself repeating it over and over and after some time passed I felt His presence and knew at that moment and from then on that He is my Lord and Savior.

Favorite Activities

Being with my family, watching movies, creating web graphics and email art, being out in the world and seeing new things, meeting people. I enjoy scrapbooking and creating things with paper. I like to play badminton and swim. Mostly I like being with my kids and seeing them happy and safe.

My favorite Christian music bands and performers are David Crowder Band, Third Day, The Newboys, and several others. Throughout my life I had always been a big fan of Michael Jackson. I also like to listen to secular music like Fall Out Boy and Green Day. My favorite movie is Stand By Me. I like to watch Grey's Anatomy, CSI and a few others shows. I don't read very many novels but I like reading non-fiction, mostly religious studies and books about psychology, sociology, anthropology...

What would you say is your Spiritual gift?

Compassion. My hearts aches with those whose hearts ache. And then action. I am a do-er. Not a watcher. When I see someone hurting, I leave inhibitions behind and go to them.
