My Testimony
Growing up as a very small child i was in church. I dont remember very much about it because when i was 5 we stoped goin. She was working two jobs and tryin to support kids after a divorce. Me and my best friend April would write letters to God growin up and put them under our pillows.. When most kids played school we played church. About the seventh grade I got angry and stoped writing the letter. I thought God was like the tooth fairy. That he would write back or leave somethin under my pillow. I had no one there to help me Grow and teach about Christs love. I was angry and but no one knew. Started drugs and i was stayin with my dad a lot and he was not the best influence. So i lived a life that not even my closest friends new about. No one but my dad and me.. The drugs ran my life. I had straight A's in school and i was a good kid. never got in trouble or caused problems.. I hid it so well.. still to this day some of my closest friends dont know who i was. Well all a sudden my sophmore year in high school my mom and step dad decided they would drag me back in church.. Thats exactly what they did. I was mad and wanted no part of it. I had good grades and i was a good person i had even stoped the drugs and was living a good life and i didnt need God in it. Well that didnt last long.. im a helper by nature and next thing i knew i looked forward to sunday and wednesday nights. A revival came up and the Lord was pullin at my heart somethin fearce and I knew my life would never be the same.. praise God for not giving up on me..
What would you say is your Spiritual gift?
idk if helping is a gift.. I have a passion for people. Just being able to help someone when they need it blesses my heart. I grew up takin care of my dad.. Its just somethin that i love. My friends always come to me when they need things.

Hey Lauren,
I read your testimony. It is always amazing to me the varied backgrounds from which all of our members come. No matter what the circumstance, you can see the providential drawing and orchestrating of God to bring those that would receive Him unto Himself. Praise God for your story as well. Welcome again to LIBAW, Real Life in Christ.
