Once upon a time I lived in the depths of darkness. Not wanting to admit the life I’m living needs to quit. My life was so dark surrounded with clouds of smoke, second hand and my own. My daughter constantly calling , daddy when are you coming home? Why don’t you spend time with me? What do I have to do? Why are your friends the only ones that get to see you! You never have time I hate this life of mine! All this and more are the words I used to hear . As strong as I looked I lived with so much fear. Sleepless nights would haunt me , and make me sweat. Fearing the demons were coming to introduced me to my death. I often drank myself drunk, because a full night sleep is all I want. You will never understand unless you’ve walked a mile in my shoes. Unsure if I should open my eyes. Not knowing if the enemy was waiting in disguise. As I said that was the life I lived not the life I live. The thick black clouds that once surrounded me and always came my way have now dissipated and gone away. Replaced with clear blue skies I now have a whole new joy in my eyes. There’s a new path I’m on. I now realize so many things I did were wrong. The air I breathe has never been so fresh. My world feels so, so blessed. The Lord is so good. I now know him like I never thought I could. I could feel the enemy trying and trying. I can hear him knocking and knocking. His time is being wasted. My door is made of steel bolt locked from bottom to top. I’ll never hear him no matter how often he knocks. It feels so good to praise the Lord Jesus Christ. The path I’m on has never felt so right. I thank all my family & friends and all of you out there who also showed me you care. I learned if you seek you shall find. Knock and it shall be answered. Ask and you shall receive. If I didn’t before I do now believe. Through out my life I learned that people don’t plan to fail, they fail to plan. Don’t worry bout tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about itself. Trust & pray to the Lord with true faith and love. Have no shame when you speak his name. allowing your prayers to be answered in the same.
