My Testimony

I was born with severe scoliosis, spina bifida, hydrocephallus, my parents were told before I was born I would be born with Down's syndrome, be mentally retarded, and probably not be able to walk, my head was about 3 times the normal size when I was in the womb, it was that way for a few months, doctors would do ultrasounds, and they were sure I would be born by c-section, and one Sunday my parents went to church and the whole congregation laid hands on my mom and prayed for us, and the next doctor appointment my head was a normal size, I was born and my parents got to spend about 3 weeks at home with me before my first surgery. At 13 I had a spinal fusion to stop my spine from curving, at 16 I developed epilepsy, the past couple of years I've been in a dark place spiritually, emotionally. Became an alcoholic for over a year when I was 22, sobered up and started going back to church after that. tried unsuccessfully to commit suicide a couple of months ago, but through that my faith has gotten stronger.

Favorite Activities

Sports, mainly hockey, reading, listening to music, I love spending time outside, studying the Word, I go to men's study group at my church on Wednesdays and I love it,

mostly Christian music, my favorite song right now is "My Hope Is In You" by Aaron Shust, favorite show, for comedy would be Big Bang Theory, action would definitely be Person of Interest.
