About Me

Lets see....what about me. Well I'll start with my greatest gift in life and that's being a mom. My son is almost 15 and going through the typical teenager things. So there is even more praying going on then usual lol. I write children's poetry and just had my first book published which is exciting. My son did the illustrations for that book and for the next book I'm working on now, so naturally I'm very proud. I love God, I love my family and my friends and I love everything about nature and life. I'm looking forward to getting to know some new friends and connect on that beautiful spiritual level.

My Testimony

The one thing I have learned in life and know to be true, is anytime I turn to God, He is always there. Any question I ask him He helps me find the answer. I truly believe that He is the reason why I am writing for children now.

I lost my job a couple years ago due to my health. I have COPD (severe asthma) and went through a period of 6mths where I just could not break free from repeated respiratory infections. Finally coming to the realization that I would not be able to return to work, I started up a home business. I did very well for a year and then as most know the stock completely crashed from under us all. Well so did my business and those I had recruited. In complete and total despair I talked to a dear friend of mine and we prayed together on the phone, and that night before I closed my eyes to try to get some sleep, I prayed again. I asked God to please tell me exactly what He wanted me to do. "Lord you know my heart and you see what is going on in my life right now. I need your help. Please tell me what you want me to do." The next morning I woke with two children's poems in my head. So I picked up a pen and pad and began to write them down. For the next few weeks poems would come to me and just flow from me as if someone was whispering them into my ear. So I continued to write. Before I knew it I had 12 poems and suddenly had the idea that my son should draw the pictures for each poem. Also God's doing I'm sure. And then the next thing I knew I was feeling so certain that God wanted these poems to be able to reach as many children as possible......so I began to hunt for a publisher. Now my son and I have a book published together with poems that God gave to me, to give to the children, and illustrations that God blessed my son's hands to draw.

To say God is great is truly an understatement!!

What would you say is your Spiritual gift?

Wow. My Spiritual gift...? Honestly I'm not sure I know. I don't always see in me what others do. I guess if I had to pick an actual gift I feel He blessed me with, I would say my writing. I know without a doubt His hands are all over it and without Him I wouldn't be on the path that I am on now.
