I wrote this testimony, not to brag on my past, but to show you where God has brought me from. I came from a dysfunctional family. We were far from being well off in the money area. I remember many nights not having electricity or water. The places we lived in should have been condemned. My mother was working two jobs, waffle house at night and a pool company during the day. - I'm a easy going christian guy, trying my best to live for Christ everyday. I work with a ministry called 4sixone, reaching out to inner city kids. Not only teaching them about Christ but also show them how to apply it to your daily life.....

- My testimony in a poem......
I remember this like it was yesterday,
Instead of so many years ago.
I've heard the whispers behind my back,
They're always wondering about me.
Seen the looks out of the corners of my eyes,
Eyes on my back as I'd walk away
No one would ever understand,
They could try, but that wouldn't help my life nor theirs.
A home, built for a haven, was my hell.
Avoidance became a necessity at a time.
Not going home meant my sanity stayed at peace.
I became what a no one would want.
But that was a time before Jesus.
A friend introduced me to his words.
The guiding and teachings of the Lord.
It helped me become the person I am today.
My struggles stopped as I prayed,
The life I knew slowly began to fade away.
It's always in the back of my head though,
Telling me how I got to where I am.
I'm a changed man, a better human being.
I'm a grateful person with intentions of helping.
Just as a friend did for me…....

- Thank you Eric for your friendship....you are right about telling people our testimony, just recently I was able to tell it to my minister and then after some time I was going to small group and six weeks past and I wouldn't even speak...but after the 7th week I was able to tell them and they all cried....I could tell they were able to see all that I saw and feel all that I felt...it was really hard..... and still continues to be..... but recently I was watching this testimony clip and it said how our testimony is't ours and that it belong to God and we can;t keep it to ourselves....and it makes sense he gave us all a story to tell.....Thank you again.

- Hi Eric. Continue to draw others onto Christ with your testimony. It is so awesome. I love how God uses different circumstances and turns it into something to glorify Him. Whenever you are ready to share the rest, I will wait patiently for that timing. Stay blessed and strong in the Lord.

- I love Ted Dekker! Red, Black, and White are sitting on my shelf right now. I haven't read Fearless yet, but I plan on buying it tomorrow and reading it. The excerpt I read though was about having the Holy Spirit with us whatever the circumstance. Max Lucado compared how people deal with life to ordering coffee. It made me laugh and so I read the whole thing. That one little part changed my entire outlook, and now I have some major paying to do.

- I work at a vet clinic, in the boarding department. Basically I work at a hotel for dogs and cats. I love it, except for the job hazards, like today's dog bite that has now turned into a cut and bruises on my thumb.
Today I read an excerpt from Max Lucado's book Fearless: Imagine Your Life Without Fear, and it really helped me out with some things I've had to deal with. God speaks to me in the most random ways ever.
