- I am a mom of two, a 16yo boy and a 11yo girl. I work in a public school, in a special ed classroom. I love it! I depend on the Lord COMPLETELY to do my job as mom and at the school. Both are very humbling : ). I really like this site and I'm learning a lot.
- My Testimony
- I found out about Jesus in high school, but didn't realize that if I completely gave my life to Him that He had tremendous power to change me and my behavior. So I went along in my eating disordered, binge drinking, self destructive life. I also put myself in risky situations, feeling that if something bad happened to me it would be what I deserved. After I had my little baby boy, I finally understood how God could really love me. I realized that He could forgive me for anything and everything, but that He wanted me to do things His way for my own good. So now for 12 years Jesus has been completely in the driver's seat.

I submit myself completely to you, my Lord. You have the power to destroy me, but you love me. You do what is best for me to bring me to greater knowledge of you. Sometimes I don't like what's best for me and I try to wiggle out of it or control things so they will go the way I want them to. Thank you, Jesus, that you don't let me get out of my lessons : ).

Being Mom (how God used my children to humble me)

I worked in a daycare for 4 years. I loved it, and it was obviously what I was meant to do because I was pretty successful at teaching the little kids how to do the right thing. Then I went on to take care of kids and teenagers in their homes, then adults with disabilities in their homes. It really seemed like I was able to teach people and also to deal with difficult behaviors. I thought I was going to do pretty well as a parent.

I used to think that I would start going to church after I cleaned up my act. It's a good thing God had a different plan : ). (It would never have happened.) He came to me when I was a huge mess. I was so blinded I didn't even know what a huge mess I was!

Birth of Rachel Saint. Rachel Saint worked for Wycliffe Bible Translators, was the older sister of Nate saint, the missionary who was one of the five killed by the Auca tribe. This didn’t deter her but rather intensified her passion to go to them. Rachel and Elisabeth Elliot, the wife of Jim Elliot were invited to live with the Auca tribe. Rachel stayed with The Auca tribe until her death and was buried there. God used them to give the message of love.
