- About Me
- I was born and raised in Denton, Tx. and homeschooled until I was 17 and I entered college at the University of North Texas. While in college I joined the Delta Lodge fraternity, which was a band of misfits that was based on a regular frat but we had much more fun. I held many offices including Vice President and I met my first wife there. She was a 'Little Sister' at the Delta Lodge and we had a huge wedding with all the trimmings and honeymooned in Jamaica. While we were married I graduated with a BA in Social Science and started graduate school. Alas, it was then that I started battling with drugs and my marriage and my graduate aspirations were casualties. I met my second wife not long after that and a couple of years later we had our first child, Kylie. My son Gabriel followed in two years. I was a devoted father and husband and worked long hours at a physically taxing job. While I had back problems and my wife fought rheumatoid arthritis we both became addicted to pain killers and our marriage ended not long after. I moved home to take care of my aging parents and was diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and had to stop working for the past three years. I have now recovered well from my ailments due to modern medicine and a determined mind. I hope to now finally put my degree to good use and work at helping people face the challenges that I have. I've recently been accepted into the vocational rehabilitation program which will open up many opportunities for me. I'm now in a relationship with a girl that is everything that I've always wanted to find in a partner. My views of God, life and everlasting peace have completely changed and I must thank her for opening doors that I didn't know existed. Now that I have been given salvation I am devoting all of my spare time to the teachings of Jesus Christ and God's will for me. With God's help I have shut the door on the past and it no longer defines who I am. I feel so much better knowing that Jesus will shoulder the load of the burden that I have carried my adult life and that one day I will be with Him in Heaven.
- My Testimony
- It was May 13 of this year and things were going really bad for me. My girlfriend and I had been fighting and I could tell that I was going into one of those bouts of depression where I wanted to just shut the shades, pull the covers over my head and just isolate myself. Then a thought came into my head that the Pastor had said about trying to fix everything ourselves and not letting God help us. It was then that if I turned my troubles over to Jesus, He wouldhelp me carry the load. I felt a great weight being lifted off my shoulders and I wept with relief. I had turned my life over to God and I had been given in return an inner peace. From that point on things started to get better for me. God has led me to a woman that has inspired me to teach and that along with my studies to be ordained should prove to be a fulfilling life for us.

- I listen to all kinds of music except country! I love curling up and watching a good movie with my soon-to-be wife. Beyond the Bible I love Lee Strobel's books and lately have mainly been doing biblical studies.
