My name's Chris. I work for a plumbing company. I'm slowly working my way to an engineering degree in college. I'm a ways from perfect, but luckily for me we have a very forgiving and generous God.
My Testimony
When I was very young I accepted the lord into my life. I fell away in middle school and as a teenager I became a full blown alcoholic and frequently used other drugs as well. I partied harder than most people could ever imagine. I had several near death experiences under various circumstances. About a month before I turned 20, I tried to take a break from drinking and had severe physical withdrawals that scared me more than anything else ever has. I stopped drinking that day and went through nearly 5 months of severe suicidal depression and waited 8 months for my liver to recover from the brink of failure. Without the love of God and his guiding hand I would not be here today. He allowed me to take myself to one of the the lowest places in human existence but brought me back out of it with life experience and wisdom that most will never attain. I have a strong and loving relationship with the Lord today. I have not drank in over 5 years. God has proven to me that my life has a purpose. I don't know what the overall picture is yet, but I know that he has something special planned just for me. I can't wait to see where else he takes me in life. I hope everyone could learn the joy and comfort of having a real relationship with the Lord.
Favorite Activities
I love to snowboard, ski, swim, run, play poker, play pool, go hiking and backpacking, ride a bike, kick a hack, and all kinds a stuff like that.
Favorite Music / Movies / Tv Shows / Books
I like lots of different music including a healthy amount of Christian rock and rap. I watch a lot of history channel, comedy central, and fuel tv. I love many movies as well, almost any comedy, but one that I would suggest is "The Salton Sea." Don't give up on Danny until you see why he is like he is. Great movie, but it is definitely not G rated so beware.
Favorite Quotations
Success is never final, and failure is never fatal. Just keep trying.
What would you say is your Spiritual gift?
My social abilities are a great gift. I am in good health. I feel like everything God has allowed me here is a gift. My spiritual purpose however is still developing. It will be a gift to see where it leads.
