Waiting on God for my spouse
This past year into the new year I have spent many hours in prayer asking for guidance and direction for many areas of my life. My job, my home, friendships, everything, and I have seen God answer my prayers. What I haven't seen Him do is ignore me. I don't always like the answer but I know He's listening. - I have been living in the great northwest since 1988 so I'm a native now. I drive a bus for Metro and I have written a rough draft of 11 chapters. I'm researching literary agents and publishers. If anyone has any advice or expertise, please share.

- I accepted Christ as Lord and Savior in 1988. I have never not believed in God, that I can remember. Maybe when I was a kid and too busy playing outside to think about Him, but as I grew up I found I never stopped thinking about Him. He saved my life.

Thirty years ago, August 1979, I was preparing to begin my freshman year of college. Life was all about me. I would be leaving home for the first time. I couldn't wait. I was getting away. Tomorrow I return to work for two short days. I spent the weekend in Portland and we took a light rail train all over the place. I happily handed over the duties of navigator to four other friends. I took a vacation from "organizing my out of town trip" and it was eye opening.

Serving God for Metro King County

I have been driving a bus for the county going on eight years. It can be a very challenging position in so many ways. Some days I feel terribly under paid and other days I thank God for the blessing of serving Him in this capacity.
Because my car no longer works I have taken to riding my bicycle a lot and the bus, so I am now able to see the road as a passenger as well. I have to plan ahead and add hours to my schedule to get to appointments but the Lord is so good.

- Thanks for all the great comments and well wishes. I have been busy with work and appointments and tomorrow, if God wills, I will change my work schedule to days. It's summer time and a whole lot of drivers with more seniority than me want to do the same thing. Pray God changes their minds. I pick at 2 p.m. I've been writing about driving for the county. What a task. I have more work to do, and I'm researching literary agents on top of everything else. I went for a four and a half bike ride today to enjoy the sun while we have it in the northwest... now I need a nap.
