I have spent a lot of my time lately reflecting on my life and the 37 years it took me to fully accept the grace and mercy that Jesus freely gave to all. - How I Quit Smoking
I smoked for at least 13 years. I tried everything to quit...pills, patches, cold turkey, gum...you name it, I tried it. I really wanted to quit and decided that I would pick a date a few weeks ahead as my quit date and I would cut down gradually to it. Every 2 weeks, I moved my quit date back. I decided I needed Jesus to help me, but I had never asked 'cause I felt He had bigger things to deal with than my nasty habit. I was in my van and had lit another cig. I prayed to Jesus to take the cigarettes away from me. Now, I prayed with the intention that He would help me in my 2 week taper off plan. Boy, was I wrong. Jesus spoke to me and told me to put out the cig I had just lit and to throw away the ones I still had left, and to never pick them up again. Wow. I did it...I was stunned at the immediate and clear answer. I have NEVER craved a cigarette since that moment. I have a ticker on my computer. That was 304 days, 7 hours, 12 minutes, and some odd seconds ago. I didn't even realize its almost been a year! I have realized that nothing is too trivial to take to my father God. By being obedient to His answer, I was freed from chains I had tried to break on my own for years. Naysayers may think that I just cold-turkeyed it, but I know that that is not so because I had zero withdrawals and zero cravings. I praise Jesus!

heyyy April glad to have you here with us at LIBAW. I really enjoyed reading your testimony its very encouraging in all aspects of life. And yeah i have done something similar say okay ima set a date of when ima do something but as in your situation GOD is calling us now.....PRAISE JESUS for healing you...i know he has many more greattt works in store for ya =D
