HE KEEPS ME FROM FALLING

Have you not known?
Have you not heard?
The everlasting God, The Lord,
The Creator of the ends of the earth,
Never faints nor is weary.
His understanding is unsearchable.
He gives power to the weak,
And to those who have no might He increases strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary,
And the young men shall utterly fall,
But those who wait on the LORD
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40 28-31

This Scripture is a beautiful reminder that our Father in heaven is keeping His eye on us. He has

seen where we have come from, the mistakes we have made, and the wrong that has been done to

us. But despite all the sin that bogs us down and the hardships that tire us out, God promises us that

He will help us find freedom and forgiveness, and that He will give us the strength to walk along the

right path for the rest of our day.

Philippians 4:13 --- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop called Confusion, speed bumps called Friends, red lights called Enemies, caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you have a spare called Determination, an engine called Perseverance, insurance called Faith, a driver called Jesus, you will make it to a place called Success

Praising God for His Awesome works

Posted on January 5, 2009 at 7:23am 1 Comment

Hello everyone and I hope this new year has been blessed so far. I just wanted to write and share something with all of you. As most of you already know, the Lord brought me out of a deep dark place. At one time I was so messed up on crack cocaine, that my life was a living hell.

On New Years eve, I received a phone call from a friend who was visiting some people that I used to be very tight with (my old party buddies). They all said hello and Happy New Year and asked how I was doing… Continue

Another Year Gone

When I look back in this year of 2008, I have so much to be thankful for... Things haven't always been easy for me, and life will always have it's up's and downs. But, no matter where we are in life, the Lord is ALWAYS with us... Even when I was at my worst, Jesus was always there waiting for me to say " Here I am " I know that feeling or waiting...I have waited many years for the chance to be with my children again, not even knowing if it would happen, but next week I will have them with me… Continue

HOW GREAT THOU ART

Posted on December 7, 2008 at 3:25pm 2 Comments

As I sit here tonight and think about all that God has done for me, all I can do is smile.. God has taken me from the pits of hell and showed me just how great He is, because without Him, I am nothing! Even though tough times still come (and they always will) He is always there with us. 19 years ago, my daughter was born on Christmas Eve, and when I used to rock her, I would sing "Silent Night", and then when my kids were taken away from me.........I could never listen to that song again..I… Continue

The Empty Chair

Posted on October 6, 2008 at 3:15pm 8 Comments

A man's daughter had asked the local minister to come and pray with her father. When the minister arrived, he found the man lying in bed with his head propped up on two pillows. An empty chair sat beside his bed. The minister assumed that the old fellow had been informed of his visit. "I guess you were expecting me," he said. "No, who are you?" said the father.

The minister told him his name and then remarked, "I see the empty chair; I figured you knew I was going to show… Continue

My Testimony

When I asked God to show me what He wanted me to do with my life, He wasn’t slow to respond………My name is Angela and I need to tell you how our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, set me free from the pit of hell that I had let myself fall into.

Where do I start? My testimony starts out with me fulfilling my dream of becoming a Mommy…When people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would always say, “A Mommy”, and it was the truth,

I watched my mother… Continue

Gift vs. Reward...

Recently, while sitting in a doctor's office, I overheard a little girl ask her grandma, “Grandma, are you going to get me something for my birthday?”, and I was shocked by Grandma's response. Her grandma replied, “Well, now that depends.... Have you been a good little girl this year?” Since when does a gift have strings attached?! A gift by definition is FREE and, if you gotta do something good to get it, it's not a gift. It's a REWARD!

Unfortunately, Grandma's logic isn't uncommon. It's a boldface lie from the pit of Hell and has been greatly promoted by what I call the “Santa doctrine”. Every year at Christmastime we brainwash our children with songs like “Santa Clause is Coming to Town”. Have you ever really listened to the words of that song? In essence, it's saying that only good little boys and good little girls get presents (gifts) under the tree, and that bad boys and girls get absolutely nothing! I'm so glad I didn't have to be a “good little boy” to receive God's free gift of salvation. If being good was required, I'd be in a heap of trouble.... and so would you.

“There is none that doeth good, no, not one.” (Psalms 14:3)

“All we like sheep have gone astray...” (Isaiah 53:6)

“For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.”
(Romans 3:23)

“The wages of sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)

The “wage” is what we've earned – it's what we deserve – but the GIFT is what God freely gives us, and the reason He's able to do this is because Jesus suffered our death at the cross. It was His precious blood that purchased this GIFT and now it's ours for
the asking. The Bible says, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved...” (Acts 16:31)

To suggest we have to do anything else to be saved, besides just believe, is an insult to God. Whether it be baptism, consecration, or whatever, to place any other condition on salvation is an abomination. Those who would teach such things – who would place other conditions on salvation – are, in effect, saying that the blood of Jesus isn't enough.
