Our Blessed Hope

By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/7/12

Titus 2:13-14 “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious

appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who

gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity,

and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (KJV)

Could it be that in this year

     Our blessed Savior will appear?

We’ll be caught up in the air,

Then His glory we will share.

This “blessed hope” is in God’s Word

And by this hope our hearts are stirred.

At any moment He’ll appear

And I believe that time is near.

His promises do not forget.

     Salvation’s call do not neglect.

The signs are in the Middle East,

Then will appear the Devil’s beast.

If you’re not sure you’re born again,

By faith invite the Savior in.

His shed blood can make you whole,

Cleanse your heart and save your soul.

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God,

believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if

it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for

you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again,

and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (KJV)

God’s Wisdom and His Purpose

By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/15/12

Matthew 7:11 “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts

unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in

heaven give good things to them that ask him?” (KJV)

God’s wisdom and His purpose don’t always match with mine.

But this one thing I’m thankful for, I know His is divine.

I may not understand it. It’s not always mine to see.

I cannot know the future for it’s not revealed to me.

This is where our faith comes in to trust God’s loving care.

So the things that trouble me, I must call on Him to bear.

He sees our every footstep and knows each time we fall.

He knows my mind and motives. For sure He knows it all.

When I pray and ask of God to change somebody’s plight

I must trust His purpose that He always does what’s right.

He sees and knows what I cannot, so His choice is always best.

This can give our heart great peace and put our mind at rest.

God’s love guides His purpose. God’s wisdom guides His choice.

Daily seek them in His Word and listen to His voice.

When prayers are not answered in the way we think they should.

Remember God still loves us and desires what’s best and good.

Matthew 10:29-31 “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”

                                                                                                                                      (KJV)

Kept By the Power of God

By Rev. Dean Beaty  1/5/12

I Peter 1 3-5 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by

the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”

                                                                                                                               (KJV)

The power that made the universe;

This power saves us from the curse.

The power that holds us in God’s hand;

This power created all He planned.

The power that raised Christ from the grave,

Is the power God gives to save.

We are kept by this same power

Through every day and every hour.

Though Satan’s roar is loud and strong,

He has no power to do us wrong.

Though Satan’s darts at us are hurled,

He’s not the greatest in the world. *

The peace of God that Jesus gives

Comes from the faith our Savior lives. **

With God the Father He lives on high

And by Christ’s blood we can draw nigh.

* I John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them:

because greater is He that is in you, than He that is in the world.” (KJV)

** John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as

the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither

let it be afraid.” (KJV)

 Servant’s Heart

By Rev Dean Beaty 1/11/12

Romans 12:1 “I beseech you therefore, brethren,

by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies

a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which

 is your reasonable service.” (KJV)

If I would be like Thee, dear Lord,

     I’d need a servant’s heart.

A heart that gives like Thou didst give,

Of all, not just a part.

That is not my natural choice

     But one I would decline.

So it must be a gift from Thee,

     A gift that is divine.

My nature hates the bridle

     That would control my way.

So help me Lord to love Thy will

     And whatever You would say.

A servant is a listener

     And quick then, to obey.

To do what pleases Thee

Must be my prayer each day.

It’s not something natural

And is not ours at birth.

So I must ask this gift of Thee,

For it’s not found on earth.

Look at Christ’s example

     Of selfless love for men.

Willingly He gave His life

    For redemption of man’s sin.

The End of All Roads

By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/15/12

Hebrews 9:27-28 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die,

but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear

the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear

the second time without sin unto salvation.” (KJV)

The end of all life’s roads will come to everyone.

When we are judged by God for all we’ve said and done.

It’s appointed unto man for each of us to die.

Our works will all appear and there the fire will try.

Will your works be consumed, as stubble, wood and hay?

Gold, silver, precious stones, praise the Lord these all will stay.

The motives of our actions give the value to each deed.

Check your motives carefully. The wrong one will impede.

One could give a ton of gold with no reward in turn.

If done for recognition, at this judgment it would burn.

Do all for the Lord’s glory throughout all of these days.

He’s the source of our redemption. To Him belongs all praise.

There’s no way of escaping this appointment God has set.

Life is for our preparation. Have you received Christ yet?

This judgment is for Christians. No lost souls on that shore.

For them the Judgment Seat of Christ, then hell forevermore.

I Corinthians 3:11-13 “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid,

which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver,

precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest:

for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall

try every man's work of what sort it is.” (KJV)

Vengeance is Mine Saith the Lord

By Rev. Dean Beaty  1/18/12

Romans 12:19 “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but

rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is

mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” (KJV)

What do you do when words are unkind?

Is true forgiveness that hard to find?

Take it to God and you’ll hear Him say,

“Vengeance is Mine; I will repay.”

When accused falsely, how do you feel?

God sees your care, and knows your pain is real.

Take your burden and on His shoulders lay.

“Vengeance is Mine; I will repay.”

When your own are hurt and they’re not to blame.

To retaliate will only bring shame.

Let prayer ease your mind and hear God say, “Stay.”

“Vengeance is Mine; I will repay.”

To turn the cheek is a hard thing to do.

Will you comply and take the Lord’s view?

Not heeding God’s Word is to disobey.

For, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay.”

Luke 6:27-29  “…Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,

bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and

him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.” (KJV)

True Humility

By Rev Dean Beaty 1/23/12

Philippians 2:5-8  “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant,

and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he

humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

                                                                                                                     (KJV)

Humility is hard to find,

For pride will not be left behind.

No room for pride within our heart

But giving God His own due part.

Jesus Christ was Lord of all.

This He left to heed God’s call.

He gave His life up willingly.

     Perfection in humility.

Humility brings suffering,

As with Christ, new life to bring.

To give your life up willingly,

     Will call for great humility.

To set aside our own freewill

Is a path that’s all up hill.

Obedience is the first key

     In finding true humility.

Cinders in the Eye

By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/25/12

Luke 6:41-42 “Why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye,

but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Either how canst

thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine

eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” (KJV)

See this wooden 2x4 protruding from my eye?

It shows that I am qualified to help the other guy.

I can sense the tiny cinder just below his lash.

I only want to help him get rid of all that trash.

I’m willing to help others remove cinders from their eye.

But as for my own 2x4, I hardly ever try.

You see, my plank has been there for nearly thirty years.

With my skill of finding flaws it seldom interferes.

One time a fellow offered to help me get it out.

But he simply did not understand what mine was all about.

To me it’s not a handicap but a reminder of man’s plight.

It makes me better qualified to point out their missed blight.

A cinder in the eye would surely bother me.

That is why I am so anxious in helping others see.

I hope it doesn’t bother you, my pointing out your flaw.

I just feel it is my calling to tell you what I saw.

Evermore With Christ Our Lord

By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/22/12

I’m looking forward to that day

When the saints are caught away.

And were changed for evermore from feet of clay.

As in Scripture we are told

We will walk the streets of gold.

Evermore we’ll live with Christ and not grow old.

(Chorus)

Evermore with Christ our Lord,

Evermore we’ll see our Savior’s blessed face.

All our tears are wiped away

     On that resurrection day.

Evermore we’ll praise Him for amazing grace.

There’ll be reunion evermore

As we walk that golden shore.

Evermore with blessed friends we’ve known before.

The blood Christ shed on Calvary

Cleansed my heart and set me free.

That is why we’ll sing the songs of victory.
