God’s Eye in the New Year
By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/1/12
Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.” (KJV)
Another year has ended and the New Year has begun.
Can you look back in vict’ry o’er the battles you have won?
The devil will defeat us if this truth we do not see.
We must depend on Jesus to win the victory.
This year will not be different. Ole Satan will work hard.
To not fall into his clutches we must always be on guard.
Begin each day with prayer for help to do what’s right,
That our words and actions are acceptable in Thy sight.
Keep this ever in your mind; we are always in God’s view.
Guard your heart and mouth and for sure the things you do.
Memorize this little verse and keep it close at hand.
It can bring you victory and help your feet to stand.
God’s Word gives us the way to walk in victory.
Keep in mind that all we do, each one the Lord can see.
Start out every morning with this prayer to do what’s right.
“May the things I do and say be acceptable in Thy sight.”

Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all
the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (KJV)
Two thousand eleven has ended and gone,
While two thousand twelve has seen it’s first dawn.
The goals that we set to accomplish last year,
Have they been achieved and did we persevere?
The work of the Savior to win souls to Him,
Did that purpose shine or did it grow dim?
They say just in India, each heart beat one dies.
Most will die without Christ. Do you hear their cries?
So few hear of Jesus and His love for their soul,
With no way of knowing through Christ we’re made whole.
That is just one country. O’er the world it’s the same.
There’s not very many that have heard Jesus’ name.
Did our Lord shed His blood for the souls of all men?
Does our Lord’s sacrifice cover every man’s sin?
There’s salvation to gain but how will they hear?
The task lies before us in this coming new year.
II Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise,
as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward,
not willing that any should perish, but that all should come
to repentance. (KJV)
