Finish the Course

II Timothy 4 7 “I have fought a good fight,

I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” (KJV)

Fought, finished and faithfulness

     Are the greatest words to hear,

Spoken by our Savior,

     The one we love so dear.

The course God set before us

     May be a bumpy road.

The finish line is heaven,

     Just as the Savior showed.

We are called to fight the fight

     And be faithful to the end,

To Christ who died for us

     And is our dearest friend.

He’s promised if we follow

     Close to the Savior’s side

That He would lead our steps

     And near to us abide.

When we cross the finish line

     We’ll hear our Savior say,

“Well done my faithful servant,

      You’re finally home to stay.”
