Have you ever been to a Passover Seder?

I've been to several. As a child, I attended a couple in a Messianic home (I don't remember much about those!) Last year I attended two others that were very different in nature.

The first was in the church that I was attending. It is a traditional Southern Baptist church. There were over 300 people in attendance. The pastor of the church led the service. It was more of an explanation of Passover and its symbols for the predominately Gentile audience. We ate lamb and enjoyed it.

The following week, I attended a Messianic Passover service at a large Messianic congregation in Denver. The differences were amazing! It was much more natural. Everyone seemed to be celebrating redemption for the entire evening. The story of the Exodus was interwoven into the service, with the parallels of Yeshua as the Passover Lamb clearly pointed out.

While my wife, Christy, enjoyed the service at our church, she commented that the Passover at the Messianic congregation made a real impact on her. My hope is that we will be able to attend that service again this year.

I personally have never had the pleasure of attending one, my father and I have spoke about it since last year's Easter service. We want to celebrate passover this year though...is there anything you could suggest for a first timer?!

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. I've been searching to see if Jews For Jesus is hosting a "Christ in the Passover" service in your area. Unfortunately, the closest I could find is 250 miles away.

I did find an online presentation of it that would be interesting and informative. I've put it on the main community page.
