VOM en Mexico was donated an original song, by a young evangelist in Chiapas, called Heroes de la Fe, that touches on those who are persecuted for their faith. The song is the basis of a tour, and promotion being organized around the Republic , and in the States to make the ministry known and raise funds for management and project costs. Its a touchy thing raising funds and asking for participation from churches in Latin America... churches, pastors and ministries are battling to survive and support themselves... it is not part of the culture to offer oneself as a volunteer and to give offerings to other ministries, less so on a regular basis. Hope that this will be a way to provide something special to those who know little about the persecution prevalent in Mexico, and to form a volunteer base for VOM in Mexico. Join us in our effort please, by recommending us to your pastors, churches, and setting aside an offering or part of your time to share with others, being a Voice/Voz for those who don't have one!

Wisdom in dealing with pro Zapatista friend in Christ. Finding a house to use for the ASAP Base... for training, reporting , storing supplies and donations, and space for short term missionary visitors.

Comment by Linda / avoiceforothers on January 15, 2011 at 3:46pm: Actually when I formed this group in 2009, there was little interest... there was another Jesus Freak group I think... so I was cautious not to step on anyone else's toes. And I did just send out invites to everyone on my friends list... I usually give it a shot... posting, and as long as there is interest keep at it. I always come back for my relationships and for the ministry. Sometimes I loose the thread if no one responds for awhile. Will be setting up a Committe of my bilingual people to do posting... if only we were as organized as the Zapatistas and anarquists! No there are some people who lnow how to network!!! There is a blilingual blogging site we set up that is just getting going... lots of work... God bless each one here!!! for caring for the least of the brethren.
