so i was just wondering how many people have been influence to attempt a daring trick all for the significance of being awesome to your peers?? i have always been extremely good at what i do wether it was snowboarding, skateboarding, motocross, streetbikes. whatever. . . . but over the past few yrs, i've found that everytime i was trying to "show off" accidents happened. once i wanted to pull a HUGE backside 360 off a 75' gap snowboarding. So for my practice run i did a straight air method to get the speed right. and of course in my AMPED up moment i forgot about all the variables (conditions/just waxed my board/little skier decided to cut me off last minute) resulting in tooooo much speed, a method tweaked way to early, causing an over shot landing/ bellyflop!!!! talk about a major concusion, i didnt know where i was!!! lol what a dumbass, i could do 360s, i could do HUGE straight airs and yet i totally screwed up!!!
i have more stories like that with motorcycles, and it all hit me 1 yr and a half ago when i finally broke my first bone. i have the talent for learning dangerous stunts way too quick!!! and my reality check is "who am i doin these stunts for??" God or man?? God gave me the talent to stand on my gas tank and ride a wheelie at 10 mph, but God also did not tell me to try that trick the first day on a bike!! when is the right time??? after experiencing many down falls i've learned, there is a time and a place for everything, man will always rush you into greatness, every1 wants the glory of being great!! BUT IT IS THE BIGGEST TRAP THE DEVIL WILL SET TO RUIN YOUR LIFE. i have a humble heart now as i perform wether in the snow or on the street!!! and because of that i get more respect from others around, dont get me wrong, i'm always pushing the limit getting better and better. but now in Gods timing!!! just because some1 tells me to try something new doesnt mean i'm gonna anymore. . . .

i feel what you are saying. Last year at Chads Gap in Utah, i wanted to nail a corked 900. For those of you that dont know chads gap....its a 120 foot gap. Well i was clocked on film approaching it at 53mph....and over shot it by about 40 feet. landed flat on my back and couldnt move for a few minutes. finally when i came back through, i thought...."wow, all that for 15 seconds of film......" If no one else would ever see it....i probly wouldnt have done it at all.
Okay, Where in Utah is Chads Gap? I'm from Utah and haven't heard that one LOL. However, my son the snowboarder probably has.

Reading the above posting, I am reminded that when we are young we will try many things that when we begin to mature we become more cautious. That happens whether in sports or anything that we are "extreme" especially living life daily. And that's what the Apostle Paul says, when we were children we played as children, but then the time comes that we put away the things of childhood. I loved racing cars!! speed with floor wheels was my thing. So I get very excited watching you guys if you love speed, there is nothing like the wind in your face LOL

Your comment that being the greatest is a trap ... great posting!
