Hello Fellow believers and disciples of Lord Jesus,
A blessed day to all of you! I hope you are all doing well... :)
James 5:14-16
Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
You may wonder why I have posted this prayer request online. I considered this Christian social networking group as an opportunity to bless others through what God has been doing and will be doing. I am inviting you to help me pray this concern I have or if you can't help me pray at least you'll be bless with encouragement for what God will be doing.
Three weeks ago, I undergo CT scan after I went through series of medication with no cure. With the CT scan result and diagnosis of Mastoiditis with Cholesteatoma (tumor behind my right ear), my doctor has recommended me for a radical and major surgery in my head. This surgery is Mastoidectomy which takes 3 hours of operation. As what my doctor said this is like a 3 caesarian operations. Wow, how painful and costly this is for me.
However, I know that my God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to his purpose for them. He allows this situation in my life for a great purpose. He does great things too marvelous to understand. And He performs countless miracles. Though, I'm still on a shocking stage for this unexpected challenge I have currently but I need to accept this and hold on to God. I will put my trust, faith, confidence and hope to the Lord Jesus Christ. I know ultimately that God is fully in charge and knows what He is doing in my life. I can trust and increase my faith because He is Sovereign, Wonderful, Miraculous and a Great Healer.
Present suffering may pass but God's mercy will last. As God open my eyes to the work of His hand and my heart will find praise. I'll delight in His way as He open my eyes to the work of His hand. Hope will raise glory shown; in my life God's will be done.
For now, I may don't fully comprehend on the reason that God allows me to experience this situation. However, I believe He will definitely reveal His wisdom and purpose for allowing me to experience this unexpected challenge. His thoughts are nothing like my thoughts. And His ways are far beyond anything I could imagine.
I can take this situation as an opportunity that God will faithfully show His power and faithfulness so we could praise Him of who He is, his faithfulness and what He is doing. I surrender everything to God's control since what I have and my life completely belongs to God.
Suffering is not the death of hope at it is hope's chance to shine. Trusting God allows us to not only hear about God, but to see Him at work. This situation will cause my faith to grow and develop more. Why I have experience this situation is not clear to me. What is clear is to me that this would bring me more closely to God.
This situation I have is far from what the Bible identified on Daniel's friend going through the blazing furnace. And God have saved these 3 friends of Daniel from the roaring flames (Daniel 3:16-27). They still worship and praise the Lord even if they have not saved from those roaring flames. Like them, the God whom I serve will be able to save me from this illness and for the major surgery. I will still worship and praise my God, Savior and Lord Jesus even if I would not be able to save from this.
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. - Isaiah 40:28-31
Romans 8:35-39
Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36(As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”) 37No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
And mine is also far greater from what Job experienced his suffering (Job 1-42). Job's hurt is physical, mental, spiritual, and social. Job hurts in about every way a person can hurt.
God gave Job a blessing of health, property, and family that was twice what Job had before his suffering started. Job who is often remembered for his suffering ends his story with blessing. Job lived a long a full life. Job's momentary pain became a lifetime of blessing.
May I have the heart and would have responses like Job. And may the Lord Jesus let me see and response this situation in His divine perspective. And this momentary pain will become a lifetime of blessing.
Since God will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise our prayer. So Friends, help me pray on this situation I have. May you be encourage of what God will be doing and bless your endeavor.
Thank you!!!
Trusting the Lord and Savior Jesus!
