This is what most of us think of when someone mentions Africa...the majestic animals, the heavenly skyscapes, the luscious landscapes, the beautiful and richly cultured people, the intricate works of art..........

Yet there is much more that we need to know..........

AIDS is ravaging the entire continent of Africa at an uncontrollable rate..........

Rape is leaving women and children dead, horribly mutilated, and shunned from their families and communities..........

Genocide in Rwanda has left hundreds of thousands of people dead..........

Men, Women, and Children are forced to mine diamonds, and brutally murdered for any insubordination..........

FGM, or Female Genital Mutilation, also known as female circumcision, is still practiced, sometimes leaving women disfigured, susceptible to infections, sterile, and often to bleed to death..........

Children are living in impoverished conditions, and their young lives will be cut extremely short due to starvation and disease..........

Thousands and thousands of people have fled their homes because of civil wars. Militaries force children to work, and to be trained killers. The crisis of violence and poverty in Sudan and other areas of Africa is more horrific than we could ever imagine..........

Just want to thank all who are empathizing and praying for Africa.
For sure Africa is in a big mess.I believe it is only God who can rescue
Africa.Luke 1;37 says ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO GOD.

My country is KENYA and the district that i come from has got several
mass graves and many women left without husbands because they
were killed in the fighting and also many of the young girls and women were raped and most of them infected with AIDS.They do not have food and shelter and suffering with many problems.PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE
Pray for AFRICA and if possible stretch your Hands and God will bless you.
From your Loving Brother

This is so awful there are blood diamonds, women and children murdered and starving mass graves, its ridiculous and your right people die of aids by the dozens every day. Its ridiculous and I am glad that you have this site and wish that we could use some of our nations funding elsewhere to help out more over there to feed the hungry and help sick.

Jen , there was a t.v. movie on the other nite named "Diamonds".........it was based in Africa and talked alot about the brutality the people were going through ,,,,,it is horrible. I didnt know how true to life that movie depicted their suffering,,,,,,,? Children are being used as slaves and murderers too,,,,correct?

I have a prayer request. My friend Romeo who is from Ghana and has a ministry there called Emmanuel Outpost Mission is not responding to any of my emails. We have been friends for many years and his son is named after my husband, which was such a great honor to us. He and his wife are like my own children (we have no kids) and I even sent my wedding dress to her when they got married and helped them with what they needed for the wedding a couple years ago. I have been working with this ministry for a long time now, but his emails have become quiet and I know he gets malaria every year as he travels to the villages spreading the gospel message. I know sometimes they have to go underground with the ministry at times, but he has never been this quiet before. It has been many months since I have heard from him and I am very concerned and if you could just pray for Romeo, Charlotte, and baby Steven I would be so glad as I know God answers our prayers and also keep the ministry there in prayer also. thank you all and God bless you.

Praise the Lord! Another way we can help is through sponsorship of a child. http://www.worldvision.org/
We have been sponsors since 6/ 28/ 99
our children Annie & Winter - Zambia
Annie as of April either moved out of the sponsorship area or married.
Then we got Fatimata another girl 6 yrs. old - Ghana
Check out the website for further information.
