Africa - my Africa

TOYS 4 AFRICA

Toys 4 Africa is a project run by Life Evangelism International www.lei.org.za in South Africa. It is getting people from around the world to send their "good" 2nd hand toys over and donate them to all the children/babies lieing in goverment state hospitals who have nothing here to stimulate and/or comfort them.

ABK PROJECT
Calling all ladies (and gents) that enjoy knitting etc. A project is run in South Africa called African Babies Knitting project. This is again run by Life Evangelism International www.lei.org.za
ABK is a christian charity for helping all the destitute mothers who have just given birth to babies in state hospitals here in Southern Africa. Our Trust Fund (Life Evangelism International) www.lei.org.za is a goverment registered humanitarian trust with N.P.O status, that gives out precious "knitting" donations to all the new mothers that have just given birth.

Many women come in to give birth to their babies from rural areas and have no clothing for their child except to wrap them in either a bath towel, sheets or even a newspaper. ABK want to help change their poverty situation around by providing them with excessories and clothing for their new born baby.
Also, I will say that there is a HUGE lack of clothing and accessories for babies that are born **premature** in our state hospitals - we need your help for this service also.

We ask for the following to be donated to LEI - ABK project:
***Booties, Hats, scarfs, singlet vests, soft woolie toys, leggings, jerseys (sweaters), layettes and jackets.***

We also are in need of booties and hats (all sizes) to help them get through our cold winter here in South Africa.

please remember to pray for the nation that God will continue his healing process over the people groups living here, and that he himself will be glorified as his people continue to "turn back to God".

Please pray for safety on the roads, pray against crime, prostitution and child trafficing, drugs and Most of all - please pray for all churches patisipating in evangelism outreach to the soccer stadiums to evangelise and share the good news of Jesus Christ with all the overseas tourists coming for the soccer games.
