Which Bible translation contains the most original Word?

Hello all,

there are several Bible translations in German available, and also very much used, but one German man took time to collect at least 300 important differences between them.

Up from page 4 of this download-pdf-file you will see them all:
http://www.das-wort-der-wahrheit.de/downloads/object_details.php?uc...

Somebody else explained why it comes that there are so different translations at all.

There are 2 so called very old Bible scriptures/findings

1) Textus Receptus: collection of very ancient Greek handwritings, un-cut, without any Greek philosophical and gnostic influences

2) Codes Sinaiticus: found in 18th century, also collection of ancient handwritings, but got edited over the times, and became basis of the Nestle-Aland-Text (NA), which are officially used by Vatican and United Bible Societies (UBS)

He said that only King James Bible Version  of 1611 would contain original scriptures.

Just check these scriptures here with your Bible version:

Acts 8/37 - KJV
And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

In all other English Bible translations that I know, like NIV, NIRV these lines are all erased!

Col 1/14 - KJV
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:

The part "through His blood" is missing in other translations.

John 6/69 - KJV
And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
sounds different if you read in NIV for example:
We believe and know that you are the Holy One of God.

John 9/35 - KJV
Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?

is translated as "Son of man" in other translations.

1. John 4/3 - KJV
And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

"come in the flesh" is erased in other translations.

Acts 2/30 - KJV
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Got pretty generalized in NIV-translation:
But he was a prophet and knew that God had promised him on oath that he would place one of his descendants on his throne.

These are only a few examples, I don't know which English translation you are using, but I found it very important to let you know, even if you are using KJV.

Maybe you know of other English translations which are according to KJV?

Let me know!

Stay blessed!

Astrid

Thank you, Jane, that is very interesting and just another confirmation of the Holy Spirit that warns us!
So tru, the devil will also try to weaken the Word itself!
Here in Germany you will also find more and more people exploiding the differences in German versions and are seeking for the most-original Word! I also am using online bibles (bibleserver.com) to compare the wording and can even read the Greek and Hebrew texts (although not all of them are original) on biblos.com.
As it is written above, we must speak this topic up, especially at church and kids-ministry!
Some changes in some translations might be reader-friendly, more easier to understand, but the name JESUS, the Name above all names, should never ever be erased or substituted to any other word, or reduced to something different than deity!

Dr. Veith explains the whole history of Bible and its various translations and changes in here:
