WHY REVIVAL TARRIES

I know there is a book with this caption “WHY REVIVAL TARRIES” I have not read it before – I don’t know what the book is all about. But this morning I was meditating and this phrase crossed my
mind. The Holy Spirit helped point out a few things that so saddened my heart.

Revival is so needed in these last days and God is poised to support any move to ignite and sustain revival. It is not to our interest in any way that revival is so far from Christendom – no –
not in any way because we are still in the world…humanity is prune to evils and
attacks from hell.

 How? Brethren lets take note that WHILE REVIVAL TARRIES or delays coming, evil keeps multiplying. Satan keeps having a filled day, enough time and space to recruit, train and commission more suicide
bombers,

WHILE REVIVAL TARRIES, the line of distinction between the born again and the world keeps melting, thinning day by day. And it is becoming difficult for sinners to see the need for repentance
into salvation.

WHILE REVIVAL TARRIES, Christians that are sitting on the fence have 80% chances of falling into sin and hell than into righteousness and heaven.

WHILE REVIVAL TARRIES, more rooms are being built and massive renovation works are carried out in hell everyday due to surging number of candidates that throng the gates.

WHILE REVIVAL TARRIES, the number of people who seek the mercies of God to intervene in some natural disasters keep reducing; earth quakes and others keep challenging our joy, peace, and
tranquility and love for our fellow human beings. Humanity has become a pray to
these disasters.

WHILE IT TARRIES, The Niger Delta Militancy of Nigeria, Sudan, Darfur, suicide bombing in the Arab nations
keep making head lines as if we have not had enough of tribulations and
pestilence.

WHILE REVIVAL STILL TARRIES. The next tragedy may be the dead of my beloved one – jubilation in hell, a grand reception in hell for my husband, son, daughter, neighbor – a very close one –
oh my God!

WHILE REVIVAL TARRIES, sin will have dominion on me, I will find myself, though a believer, but committing sin, from lust, fornication to lying, hatred and this continues. Sin in, sin out. At a
point we will be so into it that our conscience will die in sin.

WHILE REVIVAL TARRIES, The next moment something may happen and I wake up in the spirit world to hear a voice that says “ DEPART FROM ME TO MY LEFT HAND, THOU UNFAITHFUL AND DISOBEDIENT
SEFVANT”

BUT WHY IS REVIVAL NOT HERE YET? It is not because we are not praying. We have prayed enough for revival but we have not lived yet for revival. “God is not deaf that he cannot hear our
prayers” yes there are people who pray less and there are people who pray more
than enough for revival. all summed up, we have prayed  more than enough but brethren, we have not
“lived” enough for revival.

Some one says, “salvation is believing and behaving like Christ”.

Revival will not fall from heaven like rain, rather it will radiate from some somewhere, like the sun.

Revival, we need it – otherwise we are exposed to so many things. My God! I keep hearing a voice saying revival is CHARACTER in motion. The lord only adds the FIRE (the spirit in action).

And so revival is character in motion, fire in action…. and the world will be saved and save ! Amen.

We have this mandate and calling to turn our worship ministers into priest of righteousness (after the order of Melchezedek), agents of revival and also they that turn many into
righteousness. (Ps 110 vs 4;Num.3 vs 12;Dan 12 vs 3)

The call is Aaronic but the order is Christlike.
