God,as well as we all desire that worship services in our churches should be such that all who enter there should truly experience God through the presence of the Holy Spirit.I remember what happened to Moses when he came down from the mountain after a meeting with God.And again Isaiah had a memorial encounter that changed His life and Character forever for good to the Glory of God.The experience qualified him for a vessel unto the great commission.Praise God
Finally, here we are! Dear Artist in the Lord, song leader, worship leader, choir, director, lead singer, back up technical director, dancer, lighting directors all sorts of directors and volunteers in the ministry called to worship. YOU ARE WELCOME!
We bless God for the life of Greg Libaw for granting us opportunity to launch this project here.
We are here individually and collectively to ignite, develop, build and or satisfy our passion to serve God and minister to humanity through our ministerial activities cum worship department of our ministries.
Personally, by the grace of God, I had the burden for technical excellence for worship in African churches. (check my testimony and blogs here in Libaw) This had to do with harnessing both the technical personnel and the technologies themselves. I, and we, are still on the vision and at the mission through the grace of God.
In the course of our seminars and lectures organized locally for churches, I have come across Artists, choirs, musical groups etc and individuals with sincere motives for worship but with worship flaws, talented enough but lacking spiritual dept to raise a “goos bump” lacking integrity to be believed as a minister of the Lord - so many do not know even how to carry along the listeners/congregation in other to usher in the presence of God during ministration.
Also, I have been to places and ministration settings where I become humbled by the display of raw talent and excellence, I become wrapped in a blanket of unction and get healed of imperfections and I cry Lo! For I am undone before the Lord, becoming inferior in terms of experience, and exposed of inability to yield totally to the Holy Ghost
Yes it happens here and it happens there. It may be going well in your setting, is it excellently well? Is the problem you, me, the techee, or the equipment, is there something you don’t understand? Vessels of worship is a place to sharpen ourselves in knowledge of the worship art and in character, that we may be able to fulfill our ministries. A place to share our faults with each other in other to be healed.
Our ministerial department has a very important role to play in the great commission. If we are not bringing sinners to Christ directly, we are edifying and encouraging someone out there to do it as well as live ready for the rapture. Can we achieve this if we are lacking in spiritual, material or moral accompaniments?.
This is a role for the worship group and it must be played excellently well.
OMG! There are things our Pastors and elders can not understand about us no matter how we try to explain when it comes to our personal callings and ministries. There are pains that can not be healed, there are wrong that can not be righted. When you come to vessel of worship, you will meet people that understand your language, and your problem, some one that has just prayed about what hurts you and is heavily anointed by the Holy Ghost for you! Praise God - Amen.
Even if you are not fully into Ministry of worship here is a place to start and grow by God grace, we pray the Holy Ghost hangs in here every moment. Waiting for you. One thing am sure we will learn here is how to surrender our body, soul, spirit and talent for God to use for His ultimate Glory.
Finally: 3 things we need to be more effective in our ministries of worship
1. Character
2. Intimacy (with God lubricated by the Holy Ghost
3. Belong to vessels of worship community here in LIBAW!
…………And other thing will be added,
Watch out! Expect great things as we fellowship together.
God bless Greg and you and LIBAW
