The Power of Prayer-God is Answering!
Praise God for your answered prayers!.........several times during the past couple of weeks, I have talked of my husband, Barry, struggling with the medical condition that he has called COPD, and as I have mentioned it, several of you on chat, or in responses, told me that you would be praying for him.......
Well, we have some awesome prayer warriors, and I would like to give testimony as to how God has answered your prayers!!!
My son, Jerry lives in PA, and we are in WV. He was not going to be with us for Thanksgiving, BUT.............. at the last minute, he decided to drive here, even though he could only be from Wednesday evening until this morning(Friday).... he said that he just wanted to see us!
Now, the Praise God part..............
Jerry is a paramedic, and as we talked about Barry, and his deteriorating medical condition, we spoke of his use of Oxygen therapy for the past few months. I made a casual remark that I could not understand why Barry could not walk around more, with the use of the oxygen since he could easily slip aother piece of tubing to transfer the oxygen............then Jerry says to me,
"But Mom, that could not work as he would be getting less oxygen that way". I did not understand what he meant, so we started looking at the tubing that was already there, and at the machine set-up, and he started explaining more about how the machine provided the needed oxygen.
Now, here comes the answered prayer part........
Jerry looked at the machine, and asked about the reading, and what level we adjusted it to at night when Barry went to bed.
I looked at him with a blank stare, as we always kept it the same.......
As, it turns out, by not giving him more Oxygen at night, because he was hooking up to a longer tubing, he was actually reducing his oxygen intake by 1/2!!! AND, HE IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE THE OXYGEN MORE AT NIGHT THAN ANY OTHER TIME!!
So, we adjusted the machine when he went to bed Wednesday night, and again last night, and praise God, his breathing is much better.
I know that God sent Jerry here to notice that we had not been told to regulate the machine to compensate for the additonal tubing! And, I know that he only had to be here for a day and a half to perhaps even save Barry's life right now!!
And, I know all of this happened because of your prayers!!!!
God bless and thank each one of you who has been praying for him! He is most of all thankful to you, and I am too, as I see that he is having an easier time getting the oxygen that he needs. He still has COPD, but God enabled him through your prayers to bring my son here to help him have a less labored time with it!!!
