Pray that lives will be changed, and hearts moved

I wanted to ask all of you to pray for me this weekend. Not just for me, but for a the 100,000 people or so who will be attending the Creation Festival with me.

I realize it may sound kinda strange to pray for people who are going to a festival, but Creation is so much more than that. It's an event that has the potential to truly change lives. Aside from the various Christian speakers and musicians, there are a multitude of Christian ministries represented at the festival. All of them serving some need, whether within or outside of the body of Christ. And all of them need our prayers and support to continue in their mission.
So, what I'm asking for specifically is this;
1) Pray that lives would be changed. That some of the people, young and old alike, who come to Creation for the fun and fellowship, would also be touched in a powerful way. Pray that those who come searching for a deeper relationship with God would find it. And for those who come having no ministry, direction or purpose that they can call their own, would find a ministry that suits the desires that God has placed in their heart.
2) Pray for me, please. Travelling mercies for Wednesday and Sunday morning. And also as I engage in my ministry as a volunteer advocate for Compassion International, pray that people's hearts would be moved to sponsor children. Pray that people would find the compassion in their own hearts to want to reach out to children living in poverty throughout the world.
3) Pray for the speakers and performers. Pray that God's anointing would be upon them as they share their words or music with the audience. Pray that God would allow them to see the fruit of their labors as they strive to serve Him in their own special way.
4) Pray for the staff and volunteers at the festival. There is so much work that goes on behind the scenes that most of the festival goers know nothing about. But without it, the festival wouldn't run anywhere near as smoothly as it always does. And that only happens because the limited number of staff people and the small army of volunteers make it possible by the sweat of their own brows. Pray for their safety and that they have a rewarding time at the festival as well.

I guess that about covers it. Thank you all in advance for your prayers. I'll be leaving first thing in the morning. I'll let everyone know how the weekend went when I return.

Hey, everyone! I just wanted to let yinz know I made it home from Creation, safe and sound. Thank you for your prayers!

It was another awesome experience and I can't wait to share the tale, but I'm too exhausted (but in a good way) to start now. I will, however, say that I didn't get nearly as many pictures this year as I did last. Fewer band shots, but more of me and others. I think I would have to say they're more personal to me this time around. I also think a part of the reason for it was because of the way my shifts as both an advocate for Compassion and as a festival volunteer left me with little time to secure a place close enough to either of the stages to get good pictures. And I'm OK with that. But the band pics I do have should be pretty good.
OK, that's all I have for now. I'm gonna go catch up on some of the sleep I didn't get over the weekend. I love you guys.
