The Cathedral of Frisco, situated on 27 acres of land in eastern Denton County, extends nearly 100,000 square feet and stretches about 10 stories high. The Gothic-inspired church also sports state-of-the-art technology that allows stadium-style seating for up to 3,000 people.
Osteen told the Elevate life congregation Sunday to expect great things and to be faithful churchgoers,WFAA-TV reported.
"I hoped tonight you'll be inspired to say, 'Hey – this is a place of destiny, and I'm a person of destiny.' You know, we didn't just happen to show up in the year of 2012," the Lakewood Church pastor said.
According to Dallas News, church members were in awe of Cathedral Frisco – which features a bookstore, coffee shop, and a large children's ministry space.
The dedication service saw a 3,000-pound pipe organ lowered from the ceiling and a 100-person choir perform. "I'm in total awe – to just watch from the very beginning as the vision was cast," said Angela Shaffer, 49. "It's more than what we ever could have imagined."
"We really wanted to bring the old to the new," David Stroud, one of the church's pastors, said of the cathedral's design, Dallas News reported.
Keith Craft, co-pastor of Elevate Life Church, who led the first dedication service Saturday evening, said, "It's a very amazing, surreal day that it's finally here" during service the following day.
Pastor Craft had relayed in a Dallas News interview that his hope for the cathedral was to be "the pinnacle building in [the] community to point people toward Christ."
Elevate Life Church, a non-denominational community, will continue dedication services – which has a slated attendance of over 70 pastors from across the U.S. – through Wednesday, Feb. 15.
The dedication schedule is as follows, with events beginning at 7 p.m. local time:

Wonder if they pay people to monitor each of these light dimming sections? Children sleep on the ground but let's put our bed on top of the church but it's not a gimmick. As we take 92 hours to dedicate a building, no it's an idol, let's not worry about taking those 92 hours to share the gospel message to a lost world. And let's run 11 miles of wiring while people don't even have electricity.

Permalink Reply by Tammy_LIBAW on February 14, 2012 at 5:42am Does these 5 million members not ever pick up a Bible? I love to feel warm & fuzzy too but for crying out loud
Permalink Reply by Kjv WordofGodBeliever on February 14, 2012 at 1:27pm Actually Tammy, they do, (so to speak). With it in raised hand above their heads they repeat after Joel: "This is my bible, I am what it says I am. I have what it says I have, I can do what it says I can do"..... and so on
To that I say AMEN.
Jer 12:10 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
Jer 12:11 They have made it desolate, and being desolate it mourneth unto me; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart.
Jer 23:11 For both prophet and priest are profane; yea, in my house have I found their wickedness, saith the LORD.
Jer 23:17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No evil shall come upon you.
Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Act 20:30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.

Here's the video where Pastor Keith Craft plants the word! :)
