You know we have this saying that we are like fish in the water that can not deny water when we talk about sin in a believer's live.
Another one says the grace of God covers all these ugly things in galatians 5:19. through to eternity and our pastors say we shouldn't bother about them.
but i ask my self...Does the word of God excuse us? If it does, did God include this passage in the scripture by mistake?
More over,it bothers me that the bible says that "they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God".How true is this?

Hey akan :) I just wrote an article about this. I would say the same as Tammy, you know its not mistakenly there or false

Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

I think it lays out a map for us in a sense, we are told to walk in the Spirit and also what it looks like to be doing so...our Spirit is in constant conflict with our sin nature, and it also lays out what our sinful nature looks like....we need to strive for the fruit of the Spirit but also as one of Jane's recent posts stated we need to keep our focus on Christ and the fruit should be an automatic production of the tree...so take care of the tree...walk in the Spirit and be obedient to what we know we are supposed to do!
Heres an illustration: "I love to it tuna cause for me its good for the heart and it helps me a lot about my health. When I'm eating in the restaurant ordering my favorite delicacy , tuna. God gave me this kind of observation with a question. "Why we put salt everytime we cook a fish which we know all of his life fish living in the salt water (not generally)?" Then God gave me an answer.. "You are also fish alain living in this wicked world. But like a fish living in a salty world but not affecting by it. That's why it needs spiciest or ingredients to flavor it".

God will not surprise if you sin again and theirs no excuse and exception. But He is faithful and just to forgive us from all unrighteousness. He don't want to us to stay astray. He wants us to learn with our own mistake.
