Hello Brothers and Sisters,

as usual;-).. I will post a question reg. this wonderful prophetic scripture...
Ez. 34/25....

25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.
26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing.
27 And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them.
28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid.
29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more.
30 Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord GOD.
31 And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord GOD.
What is meant by the "plant of renown"? In other translations also described as garden of renown..?
Thank you for all proposals or explanations..

Yep to Tammy : ), and from what I can see on the internet the general consensus is they're referring to Jesus?

Yes, I also was thinking of Jesus, our grape, our wine...If we stay in Him and He in us, then we will never lack anything..

in our German translations renown is translated as "famous plant"or "garden of salvation, of peace"..

We know that God gave us plants for food as spoken of in Genesis chapter one and that food was to help sustain nutrition for our body. The plant in vs. 31 is that of Christ Jesus as God has raised him up from the seed of David to nourish not only our bodies, but our Spiritual soul.

Gal 3:16  Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.
Yes, Jesus is the Famous Plant, His roots and offspring are grounded in David..
Rev. 22/16

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
And we, too, are called "plantings of the Lord", what a blessing!
Jes. 61/3
3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
