DO YOU HAVE A LIGHTED CANDLE?

Hello beloved, I kind of got stirred in my spirit and share this Word from the Lord!!

Luke 8:16 says “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but sets it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light”. We have seen some candles of every shape and color, and some are even scented! That is to say some are just candles for decoration; instead of the original use of lighting. No need to ask if you know what a candle is made of; but in case you do not remember, it is bulk of molded wax usually with a thread wick that runs through from top to bottom. At the tip, the thread is lit with a spark and as it picks the flame, the wax keeps melting as the thread burns to shine out light.

No, man (in the neuter gender), when he has lighted a candle….It is a natural thing to put on a candle light and as such it will not be proper to just have a no-light candle for decoration. This is what the presence of God means to us all who are Christians, in the true sense of the word; and not as a religion into which one is born! The candle of the light of our life is Jesus Christ the Light of the world. Hehe!! Is he lighted up in you anew? Are you sure, he is really shinning more than when you began till this day?

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covers it with a vessel,…Again it will make no sense for me to light up a candle and get a bucket and cover the lighted candle. What will happen is that the light will possible go out since no more air is allowed to keep it burning. But how sad that a times we are faced with situations and issues that challenge our stand for the Lord, who we have believed and confessed; but now want to play the game of one-step-in and one-step-out! And those times our faith is compromised seem to frustrate the grace of God, and cast a shadow of doubt if we are still serving God or something else? And yet God, in his mercy calls for a repentance, to get rid of whatever there is, that overshadows the personal presence of Christ, be it sin or Satan!

No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed;…Under a bed? Well, the light may not go out! But it will have less amount of air and will not even be seen. That is how some of us have buried the vision of God, which is now put to rest and in order not go through any more trials or persecution, we tend to relax the original plan. Especially, when one is called for something new God wants to be done, we say for instance, “Oh why the stress of building a new house, when I can comfortably rent one?” That is the disease of remaining in your comfort zone; whereas there is a wide field of exploit, you can do for God where he directs you now!

Jesus was serious indeed, when he declared “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, covers it with a vessel, or puts it under a bed; but sets it on a candlestick, that they which enter in may see the light”. We are blessed to show all and more of what God is doing through our walk in the knowledge of his word and fullness of Spirit: in restoring his presence to the lost world and to establish his foundation of life eternal in Christ. So, set yourself on the candlestick and be not ashamed of him before people and he will not reject you at the end; but if not, then it will be vice versa! Those who should enter in are they who have no light and need to come out of the dark places of sin and broken lives. Oh, as I say this, the Holy Spirit moves within to say “Let my people awake to my counsel and purpose of this time; do not expect the better times to do something in the kingdom than now!” And when we make ourselves available for God to live in and through us, then his word will become fruitful as we are the light of the world, a city built on high cannot be hid.

We are not to be intimidated, not frustrated, not terrified, not backslidden, not questioning the reality of God and heaven, not letting the news to control our views about life in Christ…and not paying attention to the ridiculous antichrist seducing spirit signs of this end times! So, check yourself with God’s word and see what is that light God can show through you, to make it a center of attraction for the lost souls you can drawn to God’s mercy and love. Oh, bravo to you who have being there for Jesus and for making greater new strides in what he has called you already! May the light of his countenance ever shine, refreshing you to guide many into the light of God through Christ Jesus, our soon coming King! Blessings abound in Him forever!
