DO U GO TO HELL IF U COMMIT SUICIDE AND IS SMOKING A SIN?
WE WERE HAVING A DISCUSSION IN DA CHATROOM DO U GOT TO HELL IF U COMMIT SUICIDE AND IS IT A SIN TO SMOKE. I SAY YES U DO GO TO HELL IF U COMMIT SUICIDE CAUSE THATS BLASPHEMY AND WUT I HEARD BLASPHEMY IS AN UNFORGIVEABLE SIN AND SMOKIN IS A SIN CAUSE IF IT WASN'T A SIN THEN Y CAN WE DIE FROM IT AND IT SAYS FOR THA WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH AND SMOKING CAUSES CANCER, LIKE MY PASTOR SAYS IF GOD WANTED US TO SMOKE HE WOULDA PUT A CHIMNEY ON OUR HEADS!!!

i believe you do not go to heaven if you commit suicide, because you are out of God's will, and you will have no chance to become a saved person. Suicide is not an act of God. It leads to death.
With smoking, i do not believe it is a sin. People are addicted to nicotine, it is hard for them to quit. Like obesity is not a sin, but it is very hard to lose weight. Both end in being unhealthy. I believe if one is really having problems smoking or being obese, they should ask the Lord what to do, and that He help them get loosed from addiction. Taking other drugs is a sin because it is illegal, and if it is illegal, it is not apart of God.

Anything we do that is unhealthy and goes against God's will is a sin. So yes smoking or any other bad habit illegal or not would be a sin. God forgives us when we ask to be forgiven and will help us to win over addictions.

There is nowhere in the Bible that states that suicide is an unforgiveable sin. There is one unforgiveable sin and it is thought that this is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit, specifically the Holy Spirit. Which I personally take to mean refusing the Holy Spirit's drawing you to Christ. But then again you may want to think about this as well if you speak against the gifts of the Holy Spirit. I don't know. I can't say for sure but I think I would be careful about it. But I would recommend watching the movie "Luther" for further enlightenment on the discussion about suicide. Suicide was taught to be a mortal sin by the Catholic church but the Catholic church also taught you could purchase years off of purgatory and called this indulgences. Martin Luther came against both of these teachings and was persecuted for it. He also brought the Bible to people in their own language. Before Luther only priests could read the Bible cuz it was only written in latin. So if you are overtaken by the lies of the devil and you steal will you go to hell? How about adultery? If you are overtaken by the lies of the devil and commit adultery are you unforgiveable? The same thing with suicide. When you come to Christ you are forgiven for your sin past, present, and future. If the person truly belongs to Christ nothing can seperate. However you will not fulfill your God given destiny, you will miss out on a lot of great adventures with the Holy Spirit, and you will lose rewards that could have been yours.
For too many years religion has told us you cant smoke and you cant chew and you cant go with girls who do. The only commandments Jesus gave us was to love God and love each other. Smoking won't send you to hell it will just make you smell like you've been there. It is not sin. Again and again I tell you that Jesus became sin (an entity that ran amuk in the world) so sin could die on the cross. We can say that smoking is a bad choice and it is a selfish choice but so is overeating, drinking too much, pornography, ya da da da da.
If you love Jesus you will follow after Him. This is true but religion has had too big a role in making us jump thru hoops to get to God when Jesus paid the price and made the way. The only work of God is to believe in the one who He sent Jn 6:29. Our righteousnes is filthy rags. Only God's righteousness is pure and we must trust that we are His righteousness no matter whether we are failing in our weaknesses or whether we are walking close to Him and look all nice and polished. He loves us just the same and nothing has changed except for whether or not we are walking in complete trust in Him or not!

Hope I totally agree with you as I almost committed suicide at one time and I was and still am a child of the most high God, but I allowed myself to get so depressed over situations and I also went to the Bible and found no references for suicide as being a sin. Praise the Lord He stopped me every time I tried, but no it is not a sin. If smoking is going to send me to hell then why is Gods blessings overflowing in my Life!!! This flesh will return to the ground for where it came, because it is our spirit that lays in judgment. Our flesh is not the temple of God, it is our spirit that is the temple as that is where the Holy Spirit dwells. These scriptures show us what defiles the true temple of God, Matthew 15:11; Mark 7:15-23; Romans 7:9-25

I have to agree with Hope. The only thing that seperates any one from God is not accepting the sacrifice Our Father made for the sin of the world, His Son JESUS. He is "the way", "the truth", and "the LIFE". No one goes to the Father but through HIM!!!!!

Suicide is putting a Big Smile on Satan's Face: One Less Christian to Help Others.
We never know what is in a person's heart, but sometimes, we do not know all of how God will judge us. It is great to show love, but we have to not be afraid to know that the Word of God is not always pretty. People have suffered greatly who sinned against God. Jesus saved us from our sins, but there is a price. Our bodies, then, are not our own anymore. They belong to God, so we have no right to kill ourselves. Being a Christian is more than just the words that say " I believe in Jesus"..Satan believed in Jesus too, but he was cast out of heaven because he rebelled against God. All kinds of demons believe in Jesus. What makes Christians so different, or the people who truly follow in Jesus? We understand that our sins are forgiven, but that we are not our own, God owns us now. We live for God. When you commit suicide, you do not live for God, you actually reject your identity because you took away your life. If you commit a sin of prostitution or theft, then you have sinned against your body and against someone else, but you did not take away your life...you have another chance to turn this life around to serve God and fulfill his purpose. When you take your life, then you are saying to God, " You have no business having my life"...that is a slap in the face to God who created you". One thing that is taught to us, is we can't allow our emotions to take over...even though we can sympathize what may be in the heart of those in pain and confusion, we have to understand that emotions out of control will destroy you...and when you let that happen to the point of taking your life...you are not only just hurting yourself and your family....you have put the biggest smile on Satan's face...because that is one less Christian to can show the Love of God to others who may not know God.
Jesus laid down his life as a good shepherd, has nothing to do with suicide in this time. Jesus specifically was given the duty to come down to earth to be a sacrifice, ordained by God, to save us from our sins. He was Resurrected. Jesus said that with him we can overcome the world. That alone should be reason for us to conquer anything...even the temptation of suicide.
Are Children of God who can conquer anything, or are we the defeated.

To say that Suicide will send someone to Hell is like sayng that Suicide is the only sin that the grace of Jesus Christ can't cover. Does anyone honestly believe that there is any sin that the grace of Jesus Christ can't cover?

god is god and most of what we do is sin ie the flesh is so weak but the spirit is so strong allsin is sin smoking is an idol suicide is murder of one self do you go to heaven ask god.we should not water down sin and colour it ad catigase which is worse all sin is sin god says so his opinion matters we can ask him ourselves and he will tell us directly if you live by the spirit you are drawn TO GOD AND NOT THE FLESH WE ARE IDOLS OURSELVES WE IDOLISE OURSELVES AND EVAN AS CHRISTIANS JUDGE EACH OTHER GOD HAS ONE OPINON HIS WHY DO WE FEEL THE NEED TO GET MANS OPINION THUS PLACINg man above god by asking him maybe to make ourselves feel good we only feel good when we do what god requires loving him unselfishly giving him what is his utimately his ourselves jesus died what for us to do as we please? as for people going to heave n when they commit suicide well some one i know commit suicide and i really missed them so i asked god would they go to heaven and he said the person on their death bed said sorry and that they would be with them in heaven,we need to prepare ourselves for the lords comming fully clothed inhis thought s his ways i want to be someone that god can come to someoe after his own heart i know sin hurts him tremendoulsy so i try ad let him lead me thoughout the day rather than me taking control god has suffered so much do we want to hurt him more? we have become complacent with god god hurts more than any of us could imaginehow often do we think or ask him how he feels when was the last time you spoke to him and listened and obeyed do we just go when in desperate need god has feelings to

Thou shalt not kill (murder is a sin and no sin will go into the Kingdom. It is never God's will for anyone to commit suicide (Adam). God will not go against your will to commit suicide. God is a gentlemen, He will never make anyone do something that they dont want to do, if a person chooses to kill themsevles God will try through His love to stop them, but He will never make them stop, and that is in anything we do in this life we do by our own choice.

honestly to tell you the truth aren't there passages in the bible where God forgives the sinner just because the sinner did one good deed? wasn't there a woman who hid the followers of God in her house? she wasn't saved. yet God spared her very soul. who are we to say God will not save someone? like I was saying before...if I can forgive someone of something, than God should be able to forgive alot more than i am capable of...
