November the 20th I was assaulted by a man I thought to be my friend. He turned out to be my enemy in disguise. He broke my nose, resulting in 7 stitches in my face. I look in the mirrior, and I see someone new. Someone i can not recognize. There is no room to look at my flaws, there is no room for vanity and pride. My father is not pointing out my flaws, he is searching my heart, he has preserved my life. He is the glory and the lifter of my head. I look beyond my scars, bruises, flaws, mistakes, pain and suffering...and I find...him waiting.
"We.... do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Col 1, 9) That ye being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. (Eph 3, 17 -19) O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out! (Isaiah 55 8) ...Many are ... Thy thoughts which are to usward: they cannot be reckoned up ... they are more than can be numbered. (Psalm 40, 5).
Crista, as you probably realise, what you have experienced is the fellowship of the suffering of Christ.
your still beautiful, remember God looks at our heart, and what is on the inside,we send our love to you all, and may the lord quickly heal you we pray in Jesus name amen.
plus we christians must forgive and we shall also be forgiven by God.
it is apparently who ever assaulted you had major issues and we must pray that God would deliver them from the evil that made them do such a awful thing.
Im processing things right now. It is true that he is close to the brokenhearted, one touch from the hem of his garment can change your life. I thank him today!
