God's Word also tells us He loved us not because of anything we've done, but because of who we were. Christ was not sent to die for the saint, but the filthy sinner (which includes all of us at some point in our lives!).
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 5:8
I found this. I agree, but I always love to hear others take on things. So, please, expand!
Why god loves us so much is a mystery to me. I work with the public and come home everyday wondering what God sees in us, but that is coming from my point of view. When i am finding myself getting irritated with some dummy, i have to remember that God loves them, and god reminds me that i have acted/and act the same way. We have done everything not deserve gods undying love, but despite our resistance he has pursued us with his love like a crazed Admirer. Why he has pursued us even to the point of Death I can only define as the Grace of God.
